I’d like to see us go 4-4-2 and get someone alongside Wolt. With Burn at LB, he’s effectively a CB so should keep shape. Then get Murphy and Ramsey on for Elanga and Joelinton, with both those playing the wide roles and Gordon up alongside Wolt. Try it for 20, before Barnes on for Gordon and back to 4-3-3.
-
Is it? When he specifically wants an exact player, it’s a poor record and was one of the weaknesses at Bournemouth. His strength is coaching and improving players.
-
6 goals in 7 1/2 games so far is proper worrying. The goals is what made us good, and we’ve lost all attacking play this season.
-
It’s true, but why the fuck did Howe want Elanga so badly and why should he have more power if that’s the spending.
-
He hasn’t been able to run all season since he came back from that injury. Yet so many of our fans want to keep defending him. He must be dosed up to the eyes on painkillers every game and it shows.
-
We’re not a good team with the ball. Transitional side is all we are, and games like this routinely show up our limitations.

1-1 at best this game.

I'd say Schar is starting too, and when you go into your 30s, age doesn't wait for you. Seen with many players over the years where they will just suddenly drop off, KDB being the most recent example. Think it's only natural you move on Schar end of this season for a younger CB, especially since we've just dropped £40m on his replacement.
-
Should've sacked him after our game Just wasted a break for no reason. Forest will be skating close to PSR with these sackings.
-
I’d be leaving now if I was at the game Luck is not in one bit.

Surprised Barnes isn’t starting, even someone like Ramsey if fully fit since Joelinton / Bruno were on other side of world and Gordon started both games, albeit not exhaustive games. Need to show a performance against these with this XI, as it’s arguably our strongest XI minus the full backs, so really need to start showing it against sides that are just below us and could trouble us, but we have to start showing theirs a step up in quality.
-
If Barnes can’t start a game like this after Gordon played two and can rightly rest for games every Sat / Wed afterwards, then what’s the point of Barnes? It’s this type of situation we need him for, not to just come off bench for 20 mins every time.
-
Really hope we hook up a performance today. Been stop start all season, and need to start some sort of run. Plus I’m fucking sick of Brighton getting the best of us at their place. Think only change we will see is Barnes at LW due to Gordon starting both International games.

Davis is such a pathetic defender.

Just looked at the league table for first time, Hull sacking Rosenior is even more mental as every week passes
-
Yea. I don’t think we’ll make Ramsdale permanent and will use Pope as a solid fall back option if a younger keeper is signed and doesn’t hit the ground running / not ready from the start.
-
Targett takes a better corner than 99% of our players
-
There’s a few weeks then there’s 10-12 games depending how early in December Need one of those runs where Krafth rolls back the years and helps carry some load. LB there’s no-one so Burn has to play every game and hope some are wrapped up with 10-15 to go so he can come off.

Going into 2027/28 season, we largely have Tonali / Bruno entering final year / Ramsey / Miley. Others gone by then. Spending big on Anderson may be a move we don’t want to do in 2026, but it’s one we need to do if that’s the window to sign him rather than gamble on waiting another season. We need to sign a top CM either 2026 or 2027, so just bring it forward a year. Isak sale should enable us to make that move which otherwise probably wasn’t viable without compromising other positions.
-
You can tell it’s something his (and his camp) decided needs to be a ‘trademark’ goal celebration, and persist with it. It’s like Foden other season when he started doing to the shooting celebration. Had no context and it’s been something he’s always done since
-
He’s HG which is another added bonus to why we’d have to get him. A HG player who’s a starter for next 5+ seasons is massive in context of moving club forward and being competitive in Europe. Him, Hall, Miley is 3 sorted for years to come. And you’d hope Neave could develop well over next 2 seasons to take that to 4. Then whatever we produce we can churn out for sales over next 5 seasons if they’re not good enough to be a key squad player.
-
If he hasn’t played a single minute, he’s in no way fit to then start back to back intense games (if they won first one) which is what would happen. There’s red flags with how he conducted himself this summer, but we’re happy to let it slide as he joined us. If he then threw it in our face to go to those international games it would be more red flags for his conduct in my view.
-
And he has to realise we paid £50 fucking million for him, solid wages for his final years, and need him for the club. Just no way he should be going if he doesn’t play a single minute for us before then.
-
They can piss off if they think he’s going off to join up with them after not playing a single minute for us before next internationals, and if Wissa himself kicks up and wants to go, we have to tell him no. That period after November internationals up to mid Jan is always massive in English game where you either crack on or your season is done. We need him fit and firing, not coming back with a niggle at best.
