This is the part where surely there was a better option for us? Guess not if we were in a piss flap with hours to go on PSR deadline and needed any Forest player that was happy to move, but bit more time and planning, surely they’ve got a youth talent that was worth the £20m, to then see if they grow in anyway over coming seasons before discarding.

Harvey Elliot? Liverpool signing Chiesa, opportunist move maybe to test waters to sign Elliot (seeing they're happy to sell quite a few young players this summer).
-
Another one lived to regret.
-
The player has indicated he's interested and agents are saying everything is positive from the player. But the club are constantly just so close to a deal, so close it can't be sorted out in a month.
-
Cup tied for rest of competition for £5m.
-
Starting People still thinking this deal is happening
-
They are always woeful at the back and that won’t change with Maresca.

Murphy is a good squad player, but unfair and hyperbole to call him shit or worthless (or similar). Think what grates people, is if you had a main winger and Murphy came in for a 3-4 game spell due to injury, you can tolerate his limitations. It’s if he’s starting 9+ games in a row, people will get tired of watching him and become less tolerant unfortunately.

I’d say it’s a case of redrawing priorities after the PSR mess. Trajectory may need tweaking and so comes with it different aims and objectives, which may sit well for some and not others. Think selling squad players is proving a real challenge, and that’s having an impact.

RW for me isn’t just about adding more output, it’s also about the build up, better ball control and the respect it gets from oppositions. Our right side, by large doesn’t carry much threat so teams are more engaged to take risks against us, by having a RW that will get sides questioning things, it takes pressure off the defence just as much as having a top CB does.
-
In next 96 hours, it will be 100% sorted one way or the other.

Considering it’s highly unlikely we’ll be getting fees for any of our players, it’s fair to assume spending £70m on Guehi (on top of Hall / Greek Guy / Osula deals) that’s our transfer spend gone this window. Loan with option/obligation onto next seasons accounts seems to be our only option for RW, unless we feel we can take a gamble and get fees for players in January.
-
What’s the team for midweek? The one that ended Saturday (before Almiron sub?), or more radical and fully rotated with likes of Osula starting?
-
But it shouldn’t be coming down to final 4 days, where we’re 2 games into the season. Not like these are opportunistic moves, these are positions which have been known needed addressing since last summer.
-
Mitchell reluctant to sign them, as it restricts what he can do. Might be thinking there’s quite a bit that can be worked with for £90m. Instead, blow it all on Geuhi and Trafford, and spend the time needing to work on sales for gunk.
-
It's inevitable that one of the stars will go, Gordon / Bruno or Isak (probably say Gordon most likely of the three IMO unless a deal is signed), which is fine, it's the replacing / evolution of the side post them that's the issue. This summer was suppose to be one, and it's been nothing but an evolution both in terms of personal and play wise. So I've got little hope atm that next season with the set up that's in place right now, we would get that correct. Need some positivity and glimpses that we are going right way with the squad to close gap on the top sides.
-
If we’re pissing about over £5m, we must be wanting another signing that we view as important and/or struggling to sell players and so will be close to PSR line again, unless we are able to sell in January.
-
Like how people just assume we’ll easily move on two goalkeepers that are deals favourable to us, when we can’t even make one fucking sale in 3 months.
-
Let’s spend the limited time left getting another goalkeeper, who won’t play
-
Chelsea still linked with RWs, and if they need a sale or two, he’s one of the few who’s got interested parties. Think there’s a deal to be made, but probably moved away from loan (with obligation) to an outright sale this window needed to entice Chelsea.
-
I find it amazing how we seemingly happily deal in Prem market, but never entertain championship market. Rogers, Semenyo couple of recent buys from there. Rowe will look a bargain in 12 months, and Whittaker when he moves will too, and so many more. Yet we seemingly not interested.
-
Said it last season, and still say it now. Hall offers so much going forward, we have to play him and accept he’s not going to be the best defensive and he’ll learn on the job. But it’s one we need to do because of the quality he gives us going forward and it’s what we need as a club moving forward. You are stronger as a team defensively if you can keep hold of the ball more and control games.
-
Confirmed to me he should be used as a LCB only. We really can’t afford to play another season where the LB is very limited with the ball, because it just puts us under more pressure, and teams are more braver to take gamble and commit more onto Bruno knowing others around him won’t hurt us the same way.

Chilwell would keep Shaw company.
