  1. From reading the mag article linked above, you would think every match pre-Ashley had a brilliant atmosphere. It most definitely wasn’t. There were many homes games back then that had similar atmospheres Saturday. I’m all for supporting ideas on how to improve the atmosphere. But you can’t do that by alienating those that do still attend.
  2. My worry is that it’s gone stale. Crowd are stale, performances are stale. It’s really hard for it to change unless the manager goes.
  3. Luke is missing the point. Shareholder loans now have to be included in PSR calculations at fair market value. This change screws up several clubs from a PSR perspective. The very rules clubs put in place to stop us, are about to bite them in the backside. So while the rules have not changed today. The impact of this ruling will likely result in a change.
  4. I suspect if Premier League have blocked any of our sponsorship deals - yes as APT and FMV have not been applied fairly to shareholder loans.
  5. This is genius. The rulings aren’t major, but the impact of those could well be. - APT and FMV being fairly applied would screw up Arsenal, Brighton and a few other clubs - Rules need to be re-drafted - Legal challenges galore now expected
  6. The noise for each of the goals! Not a typical roar/goal celebration, it was a spine tingling pure emotion - especially the Miggy and Schar goals.

    Harvey Barnes

Any idea why he was subbed off?
  8. Bernardo is always a twat when he plays against us. Apart from that though, let’s go at them and use pace on the counter attack. Need a big game from Barnes and Gordon.
  9. The actual Isak quote without Hope’s doom mongering: ”He’s had scans, he’s had lots of tests. The injury has been diagnosed fine. It sounds far worse than it is but he’s got a broken toe. It’s one that can be managed and played with providing he can manage the pain levels. That will have no long-term risks. He had injections to numb the toe last week, so that was fine until it wore off.”
  10. We have 5 or 6 clubs who want to limit competition. Then we have 10 or so clubs happy just to do enough not to be relegated/finish mid table, with owners limiting how much they need to invest. Then a handful of clubs with ambitions but hamstrung by the rules set by the others. I don’t understand fans of those 10 or so mid tables teams, who are blinded by lights of the Premier League and are happy to never compete.
  11. Yasir back on Tyneside this weekend.
  12. Weren’t City after damages as well for loss of earnings. Let’s hope they’re substantial! Any idea on what the ATP votes was going to be about today?
  13. Haha wish I had that power! Good news it’s a home time and if we win it, then a few other top teams should be heading out as well.
  14. Would like to avoid Chelsea. Rest of them will focus on Europe so will play weakened teams. any idea what time the draw is and our ball number?
  15. PIF increased their holding by 5% when Staveley left recently. They could have easily left it to Reuben family. That’s evidence enough for me that they’re still committed. Plus experiences of people on here who have worked for Saudi companies mentioning everything just takes time.
  16. Let’s rearrange at St James’ and give them a bit extra from ticket sales to repair their ground.
  17. Will we be able to wear any of our three shirts against Brighton away?
  18. Worrying part for me is that the level of performance isn’t improving regardless of who plays. Feels like the beginning of the end. Big few weeks coming up.
  19. Over a year now of these awful away performances
  20. Maggies

    Joe Willock

5 chances created today. Willock - Bruno - Tonali is the starting midfield moving forward.
  21. Maggies

    Jacob Murphy

Shouldn’t be starting, but not his fault he is.
  22. Maggies

    Alexander Isak

Would guess so. How long does that keep you out for? Or will we see a masked Isak against Fulham?
