People say he's a coach, not a manager. Where's the evidence that he's even a good coach??

 

Multiple players testifying to it?

 

He's not doing a very good job of coaching our players, that's for sure.

 

You can be as good a coach as you like but if you have little tactical knowledge or any ability to motivate players the team will generally be shit.  Only time they'll have a chance is against another team with no plan that just sits back and lets them play and if the players can motivate themselves for the game.

when players says hes a good coach, they mean, putting cones out, setting up 5 a sides- and are also implying he is a useless manager- which tbh, everyone in the country who watches football is now aware of.

After everything that has been said since Saturday and I have yet to hear of one person (excluding Mackems) say that he should keep his job, it seems incredible that they will allow him to take training tomorrow.  The fact that they have not issued a statement backing him shows at the very least his job is under threat and that they have doubts.  If they let him continue, there is no way he can recover any credibility (what's left of it) after this delay.

 

They have had 48 hours to make a decision and ascertain interest from potential managers to be able to draw up a list.

 

I know Charnley moves very slowly but they cannot afford to waste time.  And even if Leicester is a write-off, getting a manager in ASAP to get to know the players and perhaps get a positive performance out of them next Monday, would give a new manager something to build on for the derby.

I reckon, if they are sacking him, they might drag their feet and do it at the end of the week, have Cathro or Simpson in the dugout for Leicester, thinkilng there'd be no way of getting a result anyway, and hire someone (Mike Newell) before the derby, hoping for a reaction then.

 

Alternatively, they give him the Leicester game, he scrapes a MAGNIFICENT draw and they trigger his 3 year contract extension.

 

Hiring Mike Newell and then hoping for a reaction?? :lol:

Probably old news - but Edwards reckons he'll be sacked tomorrow.

 

Edwards can f*ck right off unless he has definitive proof. He reckoned he'd be sacked today. F*cking fuming that he hasn't been.

Having a crisis meeting without him says it all, they'll be onto a few agents regarding maybe 3 or 4 available managers, how hard they negotiate will probably determine who we get.

Unless a manager like Rafa (who is pretty much guaranteed job offers) is prepared to take a short term contract until the summer, the rest will be playing hard ball and be wanting a 3 year contract at least with more say in what goes on. The club are in no position to approach the situation like they have in the past.
