Kev
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/man_city/7120859.stm Manchester City could target Peter Crouch after Blues chairman Thaksin Shinawatra revealed manager Sven-Goran Eriksson was a fan of the striker. Eriksson, who worked with the Liverpool star during his reign as England boss, is keen to sign a forward during the January transfer window. "Sven is looking for one striker and one or two midfielders," said Thaksin. "Sven does like Peter Crouch, very much. But he has yet to decide (if he will make an offer)." i think we should be challenging city or any other club in january to try and buy crouch from liverpool always thought he was a top class player
Dokko
We should stick Owen in front of Sven's nose while we nip in for Crouch. I'd be made up if we could straight swap them in this current market.
Dr Spectrum
i think we should be challenging city or any other club in january to try and buy crouch from liverpool Please do. We should stick Owen in front of Sven's nose Please don't.
9
He wouldnt be getting the service/quality around him as he does at Liverpool so IMO would be no where near as effective for us as he is for them..was awful in a poor quality team bar a few months at Southampton. Guest galway
Never mind Crouch , can anyone find out if a rumour going around over here in Ireland is true ? On monday a young lad called Steve Folan age 16 from Mervue in Galway , went over for a pre arranged trial , trained with the U 18S , made such an impression went straight into the reserves on tuesday night , got man of the match and was duly offered a professional contract . Nothing too extraordinary there , except he had glandular fever and was only about 60% fit !!!!!!
Newcastle Fan
Rolando Bianchi isn't that bad..he just needs to adapt and he'll be better than Crouch imo, can't see why City are chasing Crouch.
Guest Mucky01
Duff is back soon and he has been spotted winning the “See how far you can lump it” competition at the training ground and as there is no need for wingers in the modern game, he is to be the new NUFC goalkeeper. So sign Crouch and flog all the dwarfs.
Fugazi
Never mind Folan , can anyone find out if a rumour going around over here in Hawai is true ? On monday a young lad called Jeremiah Jockstrap age 8 3/4 from the Moon , went over for a pre arranged trial , trained with the U 5S , made such an impression that he went straight on the plane home , got arrested and was duly offered a professional contract . Nothing too extraordinary there , except he had a dose of the clap and was only about 2% fit !!!!!!
tmonkey
If we sign him, we should write into his contract that he has to do his robotic dance after every goal, otherwise he gets fined.
Parky
Wait a minute, he's quite tall isn't he? LAUNCH. He's going to look very wierd in stripes.

Stu
We should stick Owen in front of Sven's nose while we nip in for Crouch. I'd be made up if we could straight swap them in this current market. No thanks please, he's shit.
Cajun
I like Crouch, would certainly do a job for us at the moment.
Mr. Snrub
Crouch is a good player. The thing is, if we signed him Allardyce's intructions would clearly be "Hoof it up to him" all game.
Liam Liam Liam O
Wait a minute, he's quite tall isn't he? LAUNCH. He's going to look very wierd in stripes. Just the one long black stripe and the one long white stripe though
wacko
Crouch is a very handy, intelligent player, and I hope we don't sell him. He and Torres play very well together.

Mr. Snrub
Crouch is a much better player than a lot of people give him credit for.
danswan
Crouch is a much better player than a lot of people give him credit for. Aye I would take him here as a Shola or Dooks replacement in a flash tbh. His last goal for England was superb.
hakka
I'd love to take Crouch, although with Owen, Viduka, Smith and Martins... there isn't space unless one is sold.
The College Dropout
Viduka is old. Owen is knackered. Smith can't score. Oba is far from complete.
Cajun
If they do want to keep Crouch would anyone take Kuyt?
The College Dropout
If they do want to keep Crouch would anyone take Kuyt? No. Oba is far from perfect but i'm so glad we bought him instead.
Nobody
If they do want to keep Crouch would anyone take Kuyt? Don't really think we'd need him. He's basically Smith with an added goal-threat. For the money it'd cost us, I don't think he'd be worth it.
