Our defenders aren't doing a great job of passing the ball through to midfield as Boro are pressing high up the pitch. Therefore, when we pass it back to Given we need him to kick the ball somewhat accurately into the midfield or up to Smith. I'd say its more to do with the erratic passing of Cacapa. Given has never been strong at kicking, passing it back to him is last option, for Cacapa it seems to be a natural reaction, only the pass is 5 yards either side of Given each time. You think Owen's been one of our best? He's been shocking apart from the first disallowed goal and that was only due to a mistake by the keeper.
