This is different from the Remy saga in January. Remy's first choice was us, almost doubling his salary turned his head. Sounds like Gomis will be settling for 2nd best if he signs for us. Someone has mentioned Jordan Rhodes who has done well in the Championship after being successful in League 1, however, I think he would be too expensive, didn't he cost Blackburn £8m?
