1878
Defoe out?! He's the only in form striker Young is a bit strange as well. And Robinson over Green? I think Rob Green must have upset someone somewhere down the line.
Syrette
Agbonlahor hasn't been playing well for some time now.
Incognito
Very harsh on Defoe. I agree, maybe Capello thinks we have him on loan from France and therefore can't play.
Ridman
Wtf Crouch? Has he played anything at all for Liverpool over the past few weeks?
Liam Liam Liam O
Wtf Crouch? Has he played anything at all for Liverpool over the past few weeks? No, but he takes a better penalty than Jenas

Pilko
Wtf Crouch? Has he played anything at all for Liverpool over the past few weeks? No, but he takes a better penalty than Jenas Oh god, THAT Jenas penalty. The ball was last spotted having a coffee at Watford Gap services.
Guest kingdawson
Is Jenas injured? Seems a strange exclusion given his recent good form and display in Capello's first game. Not too bothered that Forrest Gump, sorry, Agbonlahor isn't there. Yep JJ has an injury that he's been carrying for a couple of weeks now. The rest will do him good. Belfast Boy
Rio Ferdinand just named captain, for this game at least.

Nobody
Rio Ferdinand just named captain, for this game at least. Well deserved, Rio's been immense this season and seems to be a natural leader. Mind, I wouldn't have had anything against it if either Terry or Gerrard would've been given the armband.
Skirge
He is trying to hard to hake things up IMO.
Ashley17
He's said he wants to see a few different captains before deciding on a full time one - where's the problem? It's not like he's handing it to Phil Neville or Emile Heskey like Eriksson did in that friendly a few years ago.

Well deserved, Rio's been immense this season and seems to be a natural leader. Mind, I wouldn't have had anything against it if either Terry or Gerrard would've been given the armband. Aye. I was thinking he was unfairly overlooked when the captain armband was available the last time. Ferdinand is more important to England than Terry or even Gerrard. geordie jamie
I would have given it to Becks for his 100th cap for me still one of our best players.

Hardly Catenaccio though. Looks more like an attacking line-up to me (which is the right way to go too).
Skirge
I don't think Owen will start, not sure he will even get a game at all but thats better for us. I was thinking though does this new Owen role that KK has him playing make it harder for him to get a game for England, seeing he is not playing as an out and out striker.. AlanSkÃrare
I don't think Owen will start, not sure he will even get a game at all but thats better for us. I was thinking though does this new Owen role that KK has him playing make it harder for him to get a game for England, seeing he is not playing as an out and out striker.. Would be strange not to play him now that he's the only recognised goalscoring striker in the squad. Him and Defoe have been the only ones to score goals lately, Rooney isn't doing it, especially not for England. I think England should go: James - Brown, Ferdinand, Terry, Cole - Gerrard, Haregreaves, Lampard - Rooney, Cole - Owen Btw. our proud Swedish team will get absolutley thrashed by Brazil tonight. Ibrahimovic is out and our fullbacks will be the worst ever fielded.
Guest Spurs_from_Africa
Rio Ferdinand just named captain, for this game at least. Quite a knock back for both Gerrard and Terry Good tbh. Gerrard never seems to perform for England and Terrry is an over-rated thug. Doing this (hopefully permanently) means that Terry is no longer an automatic choice. I have to say though, one negative about Woody coming to Spurs is now whenever I suggest he should start with Rio for England ( have been saying this since the end of his last season), I get told I'm deluded. Oh well, guess I can just about live with it. Young out is a strange decision and Defoe out is even worse. He doesn't do much other than score but what does he need to do to get into the squad? His form is great at the mo.
