Boyd to Forrest is a good deal for them. Billy Davies has done some good business since taking over at Forest.

The crowd at Forest have turned on Davies apparently, according to a Forest fan who I work with!

Why?

The way they play sometimes, it's more interesting to look away from the pitch.

Aye, thats what he said but he also said that they turned on him after they lost that long winning run and they went batshit because they only beat Sheffield Wednesday 2-1 at home. Bonkers, the lot of them!

Aren't they like ridiculously overachieving this season?

Yeah, this fella at work, cant understand the flack Davies is getting, he was hoping for mid table at best from them this season, so to be sitting in 3rd and they are going mental is rediculous.

so they're 3rd in the table fighting for automatic promotion are doing far better than could have realisticly been predicted before the season and they're giving davies grief :idiot2:

and people call us arrogant

when he was a pundit for our match against wba, he was saying that forest aren't ready for the premiership and ideally would get promoted another season. well give us your spot then, ungrateful bastard. as if you can pick and choose promotion....

tbf he said that at derby too and we know how that ended.

thats probably why he said it given his derby experience (where in fairness they could have given him time) but fans are ever fickle beings

Joe Cole looks set for a move to either Manchester United or Manchester City this summer after contract talks with Chelsea hit a brick wall.

]The midfield playmaker, whose reported £60,000 a week contract at Stamford Bridge ends this summer, balked at the Blues' offer of only a 12-month extension at £36,000 a week.

Such a deal would put Cole, whose season has been blighted by injury, on only a quarter of the top earners at the club - including fellow England internationals Ashley Cole, Frank Lampard, and John Terry.

As a result, Cole's agent is now touting him to some of the Premier League's biggest-spending clubs - with Manchester rivals United and City set to enter a bidding war for his services.

Cash-rich City are thought to have tabled an offer of up to £80,000 a week while United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is very keen to add the 28-year-old winger to his squad and would offer a longer contract.

Other interested parties include Chelsea's London rivals Tottenham but Cole is keen to relocate to the north west with wife Carly Zucker - who is expecting the couple's first child in the next few weeks.

Cole ideally wants Champions League football next season so may wait to see who grabs fourth spot in the table before making any long-term decisions.

With the way he's played this season, he would not be missed at Chelsea. If they really did offer him 36K a week (which I doubt, that is incredibly low) then they clearly just do not want him.

Good signing for Fergie if they can get him - better than Nani anyday.

based on this season and the extra 5 years in age? ;)

Yep! I don't rate Nani at all.  He can't cross the ball and his decision making is poor at most times.

He's not a team player, just wants to shoot all the time and does those stupid somersaults.

Played a cracking pass for Rooney's second, mind!

The Higuaín off Madrid story is gathering some strength with Marca revealing that him and Cronaldo are not in the best terms, after the portuguese vividly scolded him during the Madrid-Lyon game.

Still can't see Madrid letting him go, although if City comes with mad money (release clause is €150m) I guess Florentino would take it and use it to fund monster bids for the likes of Silva, Cesc, Villa...

Actually, it's even Marca's cover... sometimes I think that paper is Madrid's worst enemy

One of the chances in question, he arguably could have looked up, but I dont know many if any striker that would have.

For all his qualities, Higuaín is a headless chicken with the ball at his feet. He just runs forward and looks to shoot, he needs more intelligence to his game.

But it is still pretty idiotic that Marca has started a campaign to get him sold.

What are Higuain's qualities then to make him such a successful striker ?
