Gash
Give Parky a point now. What on earth do you know about Emre? Nothing at all, i just needed something to say.
Kaizero
Done really well at Fenerbache apparently. Don't think it'd be a bad signing for them as he appears to have put his injury troubles behind him.
ponsaelius
That goal against Reading. Aye. One of my favourite goals in recent years.
Lagerstedt
That goal against Reading. Or the free kick against the Mackems at SJP in 2005, on my 18th birthday and all
wormy
If Emre came back to England and done well for Liverpool, it'd be quite sad really. A damning indictment on everything that was wrong with our club back then.
quayside
Emre was last year's player of the season in the Turkish league. Clearly a good player but I was never sure he really suited the Premiership. He was combative enough and good on the ball but too many matches seemed to pass by without him making any impact, and of course his fitness record was rank. A damning indictment on everything that was wrong with our club back then. Well, we know it was a shambles already. Almost as bad as Liverpool now! Thespence
Emre was a fucking bottler ffs was more interested looking a good on the halfway line than taking a risk against the opposition. Good goal against the scum though & for that he will always have a place in my heart.
Colocho
Emre didn't have the teeth or the balls for English football.

ponsaelius
Aye prerequisite for playing in England. Must have sufficient teeth and balls.
Guest firetotheworks
Just to shadow a lot of other people's opinion on here. He was good for us, and I liked him a lot, but he was always injured.
Shayno
Aye prerequisite for playing in England. Must have sufficient teeth and balls. Two front ones and a molar would be about the national average right?
TaylorJ_01
I liked Emre. Exactly the sort of player we need at the moment. Just maybe one that doesn't get constantly injured.
Ronaldo
Emre's deep-sitting playmaker, not a box-to-box player or an agressive DM. Not sure what people expected from him.
KaKa
Aye prerequisite for playing in England. Must have sufficient teeth and balls. Typical English football mentality. I'd much rather prefer players with a decent touch and technique, who can spot a pass and score goals. I'm sure the likes of Fabregas and Nasri were signed for their teeth and balls play. Goodness me ...
Ronaldo
Exactly, it's embarrassing. No surprise that Neesy agrees with the utter tripe.

TaylorJ_01
I think Emre was pretty competitve, tbh. He always (looks mostly) reminded me of Rino Gattuso. That kind of mentality too.
Guest BlacknWhiteArmy
I think Emre was pretty competitve, tbh. He was.
Guest Heneage
He was fantastic at home to Chelsea one year, he hassled and harried Lampard all game. His only 'problem' was he was injured a lot.
Thespence
Emre's deep-sitting playmaker Showboater on the half way line. A clapped out Paul Scholes is far more effective bossing a game from deep than Emre at any point during his time at NUFC.
quayside
Someone mentioned the goal against Reading, in truth he ran the show and was virtually unplayable for the whole match. Bit like Bowyer was in a home match v Spurs (anyone else remember that game?) but, as with Bowyer it didn't happen often enough. Like I said earlier even when Emre was fIt there were too many games when he didn't make any impact. I really couldn't fault his effort though, there was never any question that he was fully committed to the cause.
