Guest Edd
http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_4783177,00.html "We move on. Joey is a good player and a former England international. "But he has certainly had his problems. There is an amount we would go to and that's it. We would not go any further." We'd never accept a 65% loss on him tbf. This and the supposed value City place on Shay show how the other clubs view our situation though. They think we're desperate. It's nothing to do with our situation IMO. In the cases of Shay and Joey it's not difficult to work out why clubs would put in a low offers.
Skirge
France striker Karim Benzema, a reported target of Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona, has said his future at Lyon depends on the club's performance in the Champions League last 16 against Barcelona. WarrenBartonCentrePartin
Heskey back to Liverpool http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1112323/Wigans-Heskey-Kops-deal-old-club-Liverpool.html Emile Heskey has agreed a pre-contract to return to his old club Liverpool in the summer. Rafael Benitez is reluctant to pay £4million to sign the England striker from Wigan in the transfer windowand has decided to wait until he is out of contract. If true I do have to wonder why the hell Benitez chooses Heskey to bring back to Anfield rather than Owen. similar to us with Owen, can this happen? Thought they couldn't speak to other PL clubs until June or July?

Aye £2mill and £3mill are just insults, we paid £5.8mill for Joey and he is woh about £4mill even with his past history, as for the £3mill offer for Shay one of the best keepers in the league City should be told to fk off no matter what they offer now. Players are worth what people are prepared to pay for them, and nobody is going to pay near what you paid for Barton, given events since you signed him, regardless of how good a player he potentially is. Another way of looking at it is that players are worth how much it will cost his current team to replace him. Considering we are already at least one man short in CM, selling Barton would mean we would need two new CMs, and that would be a hell of a lot more expensive than £2m. As the prices for players have rocketed in the last 18 months, any team wanting to take Barton from us would have to pay atleast what we paid for him.
