I was very impressed with Jonas, by far Mallorca’s best and most penetrating player, did not hardly give the ball away for the entire game and seemed to beat men like they were not there. He plays on the right, he did in that game, but he did switch for a while. There is no question of wether he is better than Downing, he is, for sure. Price will be an issue, perhaps a £5-6 mil player in the current market. We need a winger and i think he would fit the bill. Also, he is very tall, big and strong, which is unusual for a winger, an asset for sure. Problems: Hes an Argi? How will he adapt? If Moyes gets him playing Everton-style football, then he will be great, his skill, pace and strength will add something we don't have. Secondly, my friend says in his first season he wasn't the same player as he is now. He tended to give the ball away a lot more, McFadden-like, lacked a bit of a brain. Maybe he has grown as a player, maybe he is just having a good season? That's for Moyes to decide and his scouts... Anything above £5-6 mil would be a gamble in my opinion!
