Ignacio María González signed from Valencia on year-long loan deal

Recommended Posts

Really unsure about this guy. He's 26 and has only had one spell in Europe at Monaco in which he was unsuccessful. Now by the sounds is surplus at Valencia despite them signing him only this season.  :undecided:

You don't play for Monaco and Valencia without having something going for you though surely. Well worth a punt on a loan.

That's kind of the piont though, he hasn't played for either really. Only got 5 appearances (don't know how many of them were starts either) at Monaco and now is considered surplus at Valencia without even playing a game.

Also, while I don't know the ins and outs of the deal, it's only ever worth it if we have a clause to buy him because if he excels Valencia will just take him back or sell him to another club.

Lets see how he does perhaps? I seem to remember a few gettting their knickers in a twist about Guthrie and although he hasn't been amazing he has certainly performed better than some were predicting.

I wonder if he is any good in set pieces? We desperately need a freekick specialist, just to scare the opponent close to their area.

Good feeling about this anyway

No one heard of Jonas and now how many people would want to get rid of him?

I will give this guy some time before we judge this deal.

"He's a technical player, good in the air and good on the ball. Could be very good in the premiership."

What I've been told by my mate from Uruguay. He's an automatic starter for the national team apparently.

looks good to me!

which could be a shame, as there is on chance of us securing him after a year if he impresses.

Valencia have fernandes etc don't they? Probably why valencia are letting him go on loan because he wouldn't get a game but would still like to keep him.

yeah. fernandes was just awesome yesterday. 26 years old too. maybe, if he is any good, we will have a fair chance to sign him next year. they already have a lot of choose from.
