LooneyToonArmy
Duff on the right wing then? what`s the latest with injuries anyway in regards to Enrique ,Martins and Viduka.........if they aren`t fit we might end up with Zog left back, Duff left wing, Smith right wing and Shola up front ......I don`t think Nacho will start with him arriving back Friday night. Xisco has got to start surely
Decky
Given Beye Taylor Cacapa Bassong Duff Guthrie Butt N'Zogbia Owen Xisco Subs: Harper, Colo, Ameobi, Smith, Barton, Edgar, Ranger Prob will be our squad and maybe our line up, it isnt great, but should be enough to beat (or at least not loss to) Hull. Rich
Back at the top of the table... http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php?SKEY=33176b75a89d0da6c18040f4b3df5c2e The PhysioRoom.com injury table that is, which isn't even taking into account Habib Beye who said in a recent interview that he wouldn't play against Hull City because the doctor has advised him to rest his achilles. It looks like he might not have a choice, though, unless we want a back four of Taylor - Cacapa - Coloccini - Bassong. Or worse still, Edgar in for Colo if he's not fit enough after last night. Bad times. We're down to the bare bones for Hull, like. Fully expecting to see Ameobi involved as it stands. Team could be horrendous.
LooneyToonArmy
Or worse still, Edgar in for Colo if he's not fit enough after last night. the only consolation there is that Hull have a squad of pretty much Championship standard players......Edgar might do okay then

Rich
Are Duff and Geremi fit?? Is Colo okay to play after 90 mins last night?? Will Xisco be chucked in without a single training session at NUFC under his belt?
Rich
Points 2 and 3 go for Gonzo too, even though he only played an hour. Basically, that lineup is pie in the sky!
James
Wouldn't be suprised if one of Martins and Viduka are fit.
Guest habibbeye
No chance of me playing. I am off to see a specialist in Marseille on Monday. If that fails then I may need surgery and will be out for about 8 weeks. Sorry.
Flip
Given Edgar Colo Taylor Zoggy Geremi Guth Butt Duff Xisco Owen will be the probable line up...we wont create much!
Guest
I can see us going back to 4-3-3, with a midfield three of Geremi, Butt & Guthrie, with Owen, Duff && Xisco up front.

pinkeye
It is likely that the new signings (Xisco and Nacho) may not start, it is unlikely that they have even met their NUFC colleagues yet so unless Hughton is very confident in their ability and playing style he would be reluctant (in my opinion) to put them straight in the side. Although the need for available players may over ride this situation! That means that we are going to be struggling to put out a fully experienced first eleven and the bench is likely to include some academy players. Very sad that we come into the first game after a transfer window with a depleted squad and hardly enough players to put out a strong first eleven!! chicago_shearer
I'm not expecting good things, even if it is only Hull. I'll be very impressed with Hughton if he can get an organized, professional performance out of them given the injuries and everything that has gone on off the pitch. CaliMag
I agree with pinkeye - there will be no xisco and no nacho playing for us against Hull. Add the fact of injury and travel and we are going to see a starting XI That is going to cause hysteria on here. My guess is Ameobi and Owen up front (not my choice BTW). Bassong and Taylor partnering in the back (no Colo) so hold on tight - scary moments ahead. Something to lift the crowd: Ranger coming on for Ameobi or Owen (when one of them inevitably becomes injured in the first half). My hope is that Zoggy plays on the wing - we need someone who will not be afraid to run at the opposition and lift the team. With no Gutierrez we desperately need him to have one of his better games. I predict a 1-1 draw with Hull hitting the cross bar and other luck intervening on our side.
Luc
Hughton is smart enough not to start Shola, he isn't blind.
