Doug
No bastard should be leaving at this critical stage of the season. Only players coming in. Surely the clubs hierarchy will see that.
Guest Vigge
He's played 95 times over the last 3 and a half seasons, no idea if he's currently a first team regular though. He's not, he's behind Kuzmanovic and their other midfielder who's name escapes. Gobbi Correction seems to be Melo with Gobbi as backup before Donadel this season. Guest Heneage
He'd be a great signing but the price is my only question, I'd have thought it would be closer to €8m.
Parsley
I trust Donadel isn't a first team regular? He isn't but I wouldn't look too much into that, Kuzmanovic and Montolivo are both very highly rated.
Dave
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/football/premier_league/article5600959.ece Newcastle have made an approach to sign Marco Donadel, the Fiorentina midfield player, but the deal is complicated by interest from Parma, who want to do a deal if they are promoted back to Serie A. Thespence
Donadel & Colo can swap stories about the there games for AC Milan. Italian U21 captain, been a while since we had one of them, does this one come with a heart? Serie A followers what does this fella bring to the party if we sign him? A good tackle (Make your own shower jokes) and good passing, not blessed with a lot of pace but has a good engine, i.e. he won't tire easy. Definitely be worth it at that price being quoted, I'd be willing to pay up to £6m.

He isn't but I wouldn't look too much into that, Kuzmanovic and Montolivo are both very highly rated. Montolivo is f***ing brilliant on his day. Aye, the old cliche of "would he turn up on a rainy day away to Wigan?" applies to him though. Perfect example is of when they faced you lot in the Wafa Cup last year. At the Artemio he (and the rest of their midfield) tore you to shreds. However in the reverse fixture when you had the momentum and the crowd behind you Montolivo along with others just didn't look up for the battle. LooneyToonArmy
Manchester Evening News has us linked with Fernandez today, possibly as part ex with Shay I take it you mean Gelson Fernandes......would be happy with that plus Onuhora and Johnson possibly and cash would be nice too. Gelson is apparently interesting Celtic on loan so a loan deal might an option too
sempuki
NEWCASTLE and Aston Villa are battling to sign Charlton teenager Josh Wright. The England Under-18 midfielder can leave for nothing after a row with boss Phil Parkinson. Wright, 18, was fined for refusing to travel to Saturday’s FA Cup defeat at Sheffield United after being told he would not start.

Skirge
http://www.newcastle.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=140948 Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley has released an amount in excess of £10 million to Kinnear for transfers, and it is widely known that Shay Given's proposed move to Manchester City will earn the Tyneside club something in the region of £10 million. Together that makes a reasonable war-chest of £20 million, with another £6 million expected to arrive from the sale of Charles 'Le Sulk' N'Zogbia to Aston Villa. So, far, the Magpies have only signed Danish International Peter Løvenkrands on a free-transfer, and Frenchman Albin Ebondo on loan from Toulouse. With less than a week remaining in the January transfer window, and with money to spend, Joe Kinnear is likely to go back to French outfit Rennes and make an improved offer of £8 million for Cameroon midfielder Stephane M'Bia. It has also emerged that the Toon put in a serious bid of £4 million last night for 25-year-old midfield ace Marco Donadel from Serie A side Fiorentina. Jose Enrique is also set to be sacrificed to make way for Celtic captain Stephen McManus, who is expected to join the Magpies next week in a swap deal. Celtic want an extra £4 million from Newcastle, but the cash-plus-player offer could be reduced to Enrique and £2 million. That makes £14 million, with the Magpies still chasing Norwegian left-back John-Arne Riise from Catalan side Roma. That deal could also be a short-term loan. Therefore, it remains to be seen what Kinnear does in fact, with that extra £12 million, and even if N'Zogbia's coveted transfer to Aston Villa does not materialise, that still leaves Kinnear with £6 million. A hectic week awaits the Magpies it appears.

TRon
Ebondo tells us to do one! Source? It's in the Journal. Nothing definite either way yet but seems Ebondo is concerned that when Beye is fit, he'll be relegated to the bench. Obviously been talking to N'Zogbia while he's been here.
