Guest Heneage
I've mentioned it a few times and I'm not saying it's gospel but let me explain. Before the Arsenal game I was listening to Radio Newcastle, and Mick Lowes was running through the sides and said "Jose Enrique plays at left back, which is a bit of a surprise as he was close to securing a move to Spain yesterday.." or words to that effect. Now yes, most people will say "oh it's fat Mick, what does he know" but Lowes spends sometime with the players doing the pre-match interviews, he's bound to be more clued up than most. Anyway, the point is, I'd be very surprised if Enrique is still here at the end of January. Which is a damn shame, because he hasn't done a lot wrong really. A few errors yes, but he's young and usually quite good. Kinnear has praised his attacking attributes, something often overlooked by Keegan. He's a better left back than Bassong - there's a case to play bassong against Bolton, Stoke and other physical sides but he shouldn't be first choice (he should be given games at CB somewhere down the line...) My point for Enrique, when has he had a sturdy defence to play with or even someone to lead him? Damn good player if we keep chopping and changing no foreign player will want to come. Guest Heneage
And Viana's goal was just outside the D I remember?
Thomson Mouse
Yeah but he was allowed to drift in, his goal came from the centre. 99% he was expected to be the by-line winger, games like Feyenoord he was allowed to drift in. It came from the corner of the box. The left corner of the box... Enrique is incredibly talented and has one of the best crosser of the balls at the club. He's on eo fthe few in the first team with a proper footballig brain.
Parky
Only just read this. Best way to prepare for the Championship I guess. What a clown. One or two prospects from the lower tier I can understand, but he sounds a little too into it....

Guest Heneage
But if you read I acknowledged that and said he was allowed to drift in. Just go watch the video.
juniatmoko
very poor and daft manager ... i've ever seen... talking about the prospect getting relegated with even not yet half of the season...
Wullie
He was playing on the left wing the same as every other time he played on the left wing. Glad we cleared that up.

Ashley17
But if you read I acknowledged that and said he was allowed to drift in. Just go watch the video. The video shows he plays some good passes from centre midfield, the one for Dyer in the league cup was a particular highlight. As for the goal in question it shows him standing exactly where I'd expect the player playing left wing to be standing for a cross from the right. Mistle17
After reading that I now feel totally dejected and have lost any little faith I had left in the club. We are royally f*cked. We've had a few dodgy seasons and flirted with relegation but I think this season will be the straw that broke the camels back....
Skeletor
Yeah I wonder who made that Viana video
Mistle17
Viana was class. He had such a good eye for a pass and his passes would just split defenses open. A dead ball specialist as well. Beautiful player imo. Shame Robert, Speed and Jenas were at the club at the same time and playing so well at the same time. Viana did get fed up in the end which probably produced his foul attitude. Hugo is just what we need now.
TRon
Joe Kinnear was brought in as a desperate short-term solution for a couple of months. He has no business making long term plans which include either buying or selling players. That really is all there is to it.

oldtype
Have to admit that Xisco has looked utterly shit so far, but he's still quite young and it's hard for me to write him off given how devastated the Deportivo fans were at his departure.
