AyeDubbleYoo
Well anyway, we know that Enrique's intention was to leave, we weren't very good and he was class. So we did the right thing to cash in on him.
Spudil
He was supposed to be sold last summer, then January (when instead we BOUGHT a player), and now it's summer again! Obviously clubs wont bid/open negotionians until the player performs consistentley. Dekka and co have not knocked back any bids for Tiote so far. If they did they'd be mouthing off about it. And WOW we bought a player? Lucky us... buying a player, thanks Mike! Until be can regularly challenge for/play CL football we are always going to loose our better players to better teams.... Well obviously but this does not mean you tout your best players around in the media. Also since when do people believe what DL says in the media....i thought it was all lies. And since when do chairmen use the media as their primary means for touting players....it's f***ing ridiculous. Primary means? who said primary means? Personally I f***ing ignore 95% of the media, it's bulshit! What managers say, chairmen...most of it is bullshit! It's used to appease fans, coerce the masses Sure you do. But seriously, the club looks in excellent health both on and off the pitch.... why people see the need to blow up this s**** and turnit into more conspiracy theories, I don't know I look forward to seeing the team play every week, I'm optimistic about the future of the club. FFS, things are actually being done right around here for once (most things, bar Stadium name changing) Fair play, but I don't enjoy hoof-ball so I don't really look forward to watching it most weeks! Kanji
I actually liked reading the part of how the board tried to get paying in installments done away with and like how we currently operate on the idea we pay and receive payments in full. Im only saying this from someone who is in real estate finance and I abs. appreciate the financial prudence displayed by our club when you do a hindsight on what could have happened or hell, even just looking at Rangers and other teams who go under. From a football fan perspective, I don't know what deals have fallen through b/c of this (in the purchase side) so as long as It wasn't just someone totally brilliant who has been top form all season for whatever club they are at now, I'm not bothered by it. Personally, I'm weary of Mike and Dekka, but I did find these reads interesting.

People were saying that we were touting Tiote the January after we signed him so because we don't know of any bid...it has not happened and why would you believe them if they were 'mouthing off' about knocking back a Tiote bid, if (by your own admission) everything they say are lies? Or do you believe what you want to believe and ignore what goes against your mantra? Well obviously but this does not mean you tout your best players around in the media. This touting through the media idea, I find a f***ing hilarious. I mean, frankly, there are so many other more efficient ways to find out whether other clubs are interested in your player. The only reason anything is said in the media is to communicate with fan bases....there is no other point! You can stir s*** either, I suppose, but ultimately it doesnt really serve any useful purpose to an owner/chairmen trying to maximise profit on one of their players. If DL or MA want to tout our players to other clubs, they have absolutely no need to tell the fans through the media!! what is the f***ing point? To gauge fan opinion? Oh right, they are interested in the opinions of the fans that that hate and despise so much.... Sure you do. Fantastic response Fair play, but I don't enjoy hoof-ball so I don't really look forward to watching it most weeks! We may not be playing the most attractive football, but we can beat anyone in the league on our day. Every match I am excited to watch, the football may not be great at times but in general we have a good team and a watchable team.

AyeDubbleYoo
Every time a player performs for us we're sure he's leaving now. Sometimes it will happen, sometimes it won't, I just hate the fatalist posts that crop up so often.

mickthemagpie
Ashley knows the only way to make a substantial trading profit is to be in the Champions league. He also knows the only way to sell the club for a substantial profit is for it to be in the Champions league. He will act accordingly. Third party info this bit but the original source should know, deal agreed for Tiote to go to Chelsea. Could obviously change depending on who takes the managers job there. thomas
Is Roman even going to bankroll chelsea anymore? Is the money coming from the expected savings on Terry/lampard/Drogba being taken out back and shot?
pi_D
Did certain sources not claim he was sold last summer? and again leading up to January (that disappeared when we signed Cisse, however) We are ging to loose some of our big players eventually, like. As long as we only sell when it cannot be avoided and the money made is reinvested in the club... then
Fenham Mag
At the end of the day , he might go or he might stay in the Summer, it all depends if someone comes in for him for the right money. People saying 'He's gone!' are just being sensationalist. My personal view is that it is about 60:40 in Newcastle's favour that he will stay. I was a lot more certain that Jose was going than i am with Tiote.
Super Duper Branko Strupar
I wish he'd save this kind of shit for closer to the window, there is really no need to be repeating what everybody already knows and shaking up the squad and fans in an important run in. The man is an absolute moron. Going to be months of horrific worrying and speculation now. Giving people more of an excuse to rise up against them, being aggressive towards SD etc. Keep it fucking schtum, man. Odious cunt.
littlelunchbox
we cant disagree with DelBoy he's being honest with us, at least he isn't bullshitting us and saying we won't sell any of our best players anymore. he's right anyway, if Arsenal a team that's been in the champions league consecutively for like donkeys years, can't even keep hold of their two best midfielders, Nasri and their captain Fabregas. Then we need to be more realistic.

womblemaster
end of the day its tiotes decision to move or stick. imo he seems happy to stay here. llambias seems pretty logical. ALot of the gay whinningin this thread is from clearly mentally impared personalities. If tiote leaves for 24m+ then happy days. As long as the club gets in a 2 specialist DM....one for lege one for europe/cover. AM not sure that in the summer clubs can affrod 20m+ fees......dont the new regs start on july 1st?? arent chelsea actually bust atmo (held together by russian glueinjections). HOwmany of the big 4 actually have sustainable turnovers? maybe spurs and us ?? AM not an accountant, so i am only guess from the shreads i have heard thus far.
