Other than that he's really getting there man. Totally incredible how much he's progressed in the last 12 months. I had him down as a workhorse for a good while. I think it's the most I've ever seen a player come on in the space of a year. Maybe Bale, but he's just sort of recovered from a slump in a promising career. Aye its not that long ago that I had him down as not ever going to be good enough and that we should get shot so I am incredibly happy to have been proved wrong! And then he went and pulled a performance out like that. If he can keep that sort of level of performance going then there's no doubt he deserves a shot with England. He just needs that reminder now and again that his place isn't guaranteed. It's twice now he's smashed in with some terrific performances, the earlier time being when we brought Best in.
