Dr Venkman Posted January 29, 2011 Share Posted January 29, 2011 Tin hat firmly on and I still don't forgive him for shitting on this club and others that care about it much more than he ever will, but if these bids for Carroll are genuine (and it certainly seems that they are) then Ashley deserves a lot of a credit in isolation for resisting them. Say what you like about whether it would go back into the team or not, £25m remains a huge amount of money. Especially considering the way the club is run these days. i agree dave, i always give credit where it's due and since i've stated that i reckon pardew was brought in so ashley can have a clearer road to ,making cash i'll be impressed if we keep him. that said i still think the summer will be the real test.
