Dan Gleebals
They are clearly shitting it with Torres off. Keep Carrol, get him fit and we can finish above the bin dippers

Decky
If this bid is rejected I cant see Liverpool coming in again tbh.
Cronky
Got to say - Carlton Cole is a decent enough player. If I was offered Cole plus £25m for Carroll, Id take it.

Guest bimpy474
Talksport: "SSN saying the improved bid has been rejected by Newcastle". Or as i put it Talkbollocks: "SSN saying the improved bid has been rejected by Newcastle".
Yorkie
Even if we received a bid of say £50m, and it all went for towards the summer's TRANSFER WARCHEST, i honestly don't think we'd better the team given the loss of Carroll. He could be absolutely sensational - i want to see him grow with us. Plus i don't have faith in Pardew to spend £50m wisely. If it was Hughton, i might think differently. Dokko
I personally think £40m is Liverpool's top offer.
9
this is unreal, are we looking for the full amount from the torres deal?
JH
If we've rejected £40m, we're either insane or absolutely genius.

Guest ObiChrisKenobi
This is like Gambling to Mike Ashley. I can just imagine him with his best poker face as he 'stares' down the phone in negotiations.

junkhead
I would of took the £40M. If it was invested, we could of become a top 6 team. Keeping Andy C, Jose, Cheick, Hatem, Joey and Colo would make us a top 6 team.
AlanSkÃrare
Superb stance taken by the club if this actually doesn't happen.
