West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll

Recommended Posts

I'm starting to wonder how the media can possibly continue without Ba's release clause to talk about every hour on the hour.

Midnight tomorrow and its all over.

Yeah i know, that's why i brought it up. What ever will they talk about now.

Very wishful thinking. We'll still be able to sell him for £7m.

I'm on the fence about Carroll coming back - can see the positives and the negatives - but I'll probably be glad if he ends up going to West Ham.  As much as I don't like them, I'll be glad to see us move on from all this craziness and get our sensible heads back on.

West Ham have agreed a 2m pound loan fee with Liverpool for Andy Carroll. Its with a view to a 17m deal providing #WHUFC stay in the PL.

So £19m overall? Or £2m now rising to £17m next summer?

Either way, that's a ridiculous sum of money...again.

When you think Nobby Solano barely cost £7m in career transfer fees in his two moves here then off to Villa & West Ham...and Carroll would have cost £52-54m in two transfers.

"With view to a 17m deal" meaning that West Ham have to buy him for this fee if they stay up, have first option IF they want to buy and stay up, or can if they still want to?

I'd still be glad to have him back.

I really can't see him being overly keen on WHU who will be scrapping around the bottom 3 all season.

It would be very stupid to commit to buy him no matter what (should they stay up) already IMO. Surely you'd want the option to bail.
