Tamas 'Kamikaze' Kadar breaks leg

Recommended Posts

It can't be that bad if he's only out for 4 months tbf.

Hope he gets back playing soon.

Still a broken leg though innit. :undecided: Feel shit for the lad - and even though it doesn't affect the first team it's still absolutely shit news.

Sick of it. :(

I didn't mean for my post to seem so insensitive, I meant it seems a straight forward break with no other complications.

Yeah that's how I see it.

Bad luck for the lad but it could have been a lot worse. Hopefully he'll be back and raring to go again.

this has been going on for years but this season seems like the worst yet. it's about time we accept that we have to make provisions for it with a bigger squad than other teams.

I don't remember it being anywhere near this bad under Robson or Keegan (1st time around).

Kadar's injury is a freak occurrence, a broken bone from an impact during a match unlike most of our other injuries this season that have occurred in training.

It's those training injuries that we need to get a handle on, figure out why they're happening on such a regular basis.

We have our share of matchday injuries too though.

Beye, Barton, and Martins' injuries in-match.

Shola, Viduka, and Smith have had training injuries, but lets face it, those three could injure themselves getting out of bed in the morning.

It got pretty bad under Robson, leading to Souness blaming the training pitch. at one time under robson, during pre-season training, half our side had conjunctivitis!

INJURED Newcastle United starlet Tamas Kadar has revealed his horror after discovering a season which promised so much looks likely to end in disaster.

The 18-year-old Magyar broke his leg in the mini Tyne-Wear derby on Wednesday night after making a block tackle on Sunderland youngster Jordan Henderson.

Kadar was on the brink of the first team at United, and had been pushing Jose Enrique in the left-back slot.

Yet Kadar – who is now resting up in his hometown of Vesprem – knows he can take solace from injury after it helped his side to a derby victory.

He told the Chronicle from his Hungarian home: “I am shocked because this injury came from nothing and at the worst time.

“I felt my fitness was OK. I sat on the bench five times for the first team, and my goal this season was to make my Premier League debut.

“I try to be positive, but it is not easy because the doctors told to me I will have a four to six months’ break, which is much too long.

“The only one thing which helped me to be positive was the result.

“We won the game against our biggest rival team, and I was able to save our goal in the last minutes before the injury.

“I broke my leg, but I reached the ball and cleared it.”

However, the Hungarian under-19 skipper holds no grudge against Sunderland after enduring such a tough setback.

He added: “The player kicked my leg instead of the ball but it was not his fault.

“It is happening on the football field and is a part of the game.

“I am a defender and I have learned from every trainer or manager of mine that my job is to defend and stop strikers from scoring.

“I made it difficult and kept the ball away from our goal.

“That was my job, and I was able to make it successful and that is the most important thing for me and for my club.

“I suffered a bad injury, but a consolation prize for me was that he was not able to score a goal – that is the most important thing for a defender.”

Now, though, working with Newcastle’s medical team, Kadar is aiming to be fit as soon as possible and make a rapid recovery.

He said: “I hope I can be fit as soon as possible.

“I can promise if the same situation happens again it will be no problem for me to block shots again in a Newcastle United shirt.”
