Megson had targeted an ambitious move for the Portuguese international after opening talks with Sporting over a possible deal. Bolton are struggling to agree a fee with Sporting for the highly-rated midfielder and Megson insists the club will not be held to ransom. "If we can bring him in, great, if not we need to move on sooner rather than later," said Megson "We need to make sure we're not on a fool's errand. They've made it clear what kind of money they want, and we won't pay that.
