Man of the match Steven Taylor.

Outstanding game.

We should seriously consider developing him at right back long term. Much better there.

Seems to relish the opportunity to get forward and express himself a bit more and it affects all areas of his game positively.

YAWN

No attempt to even attack at the end

Loven should have scored

boring boring boring

Not enjoyable supporting this football team

What do you expect with ten men?

Don't be silly, it was a good result and performance.

True, seems to work quite well with Raylor too..

Bassong is so fucking good, MOTM again today IMO. He's our lynchpin; you'd not guess Coloccini was the one who cost £10m. Steven Taylor did quite well, and Ryan Taylor's deliveries looked good again. Good to see Oba back, and I was impressed with Hughton's changes.

The pity is that Everton really weren't that good at all, and with Nolan we could well have got all three points.

We had a chance to winthis today wasted by nolan and Loven.

In the end holding on is to be expected, however everton looked ragged. We could have attacked them with minutes left and nicked one but no attempt.

Regardless the way everton played today, we just wasted a real chance at 3 points.

Could be a crucial point in the end - the defence did really well after we went down to 10men. However, doesn't excuse the fact that Hughton got his team selection very wrong, and also the cowardly challenge from Nolan. This was a game we could have won, if we had been brave enough.

Begs the question - is Hughton doing what he is told from 'above', in the absence of Kinnear?

Butt was immense today. Constantly positioned himself well in midfield, made some good tackles, kept possession when needed and put the ref under pressure just like captain should.

I thought Hughton got his substitutes spot on today.
