Nicky
NEWCASTLE have made a shock bid to sign former Celtic striker Henrik Larsson. Toon chiefs spoke to the 37-year-old about a dramatic return to the Premier League. And the Swede is now weighing up the offer after snubbing a bid from Hull. Larsson’s deal with Helsingborgs finished at the end of 2008 and he is free to join Newcastle for nothing — outside of the transfer window. The hotshot enjoyed a brief stay at Manchester United two years ago that saw him end up with a league winner’s medal. Odd one. From the NOTW tommorow... http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/sport/197201/NEWCASTLE-BID-FOR-HENRIK-LARSSON-Toon-in-shock-move-to-land-former-Celtic-striker.html Do we need another striker? Segun Oluwaniyi
If there are any 37 year old world class midfielders with PL experience needing a job, we should give a call. However, Henrik is striker and we have like eight of them already. I realy do think that's enough for now.

TRon
He wouldn't have missed Lovenkrands chance last week against Everton. How do you know? All strikers miss chances even the best. This story is clearly bollocks because most of our first choice forwards are nearing full fitness again. We just don't need him at this point.
