What's going on in youth teams. I thought we signed a ton of decent players.

It takes time. It seemed like you picked up a lot of players from lower division academies around the country and, y’know, they’re kids. Apart from adapting to new coaching and teammates, they’re adapting to new houses, new areas etc etc.

 

Let them bed in. I don’t know all that much about your current youth facilities and staff but my impression is that you had quite a lot of work to do on that as well. Then you factor in the quirks between age groups. Our U21s were incredible last year but they’re all on loan or in the first team squad now and the new batch are significantly younger. They’ve lost a ton of games. That’s just what happens. 
 

In a couple of years time, if all your age groups are underperforming then I’d be asking questions. Until then you just have to be patient, unless there are people who know behind-the-scenes stuff and have concerns.

Played in a random reserves match a few weeks back but then disappeared again.

Wonder when Sanusi is back. Looked like he was gonna push himself in to the first team squad earlier.
