Good shout actually, had forgotten Guthrie. Would just play him in the holding role instead of Butt, I'd allow Smith some license to get forward as its his natural instinct while Guthrie is better suited to sitting and playing it around from deep. johnnypd Posted April 27, 2009 Share Posted April 27, 2009 that midfield is horrific, but the rest of the side is good and at full strength. duff and smith should be able to move the ball around well and butt plays better in the 3 than in a 2, so it could still work if duff plays sensibly and mucks in helping the defence.
