The Shola/Jonas stuff might actually make Ashley pull his finger out, either to sanction some business or to fuck off.

He doesnt give a fuck about us anymore. Selling before or after August 31st makes no difference to him.

Why you think it'd make a difference to him?

I didn't even bother checking this thread yesterday, all this stuff is now getting stale with talk of the club sale possibly dragging on until next year. Who gives a shit who the owner is if that's the case?

If you believe owt that the Daily Star says

http://dailystar.co.uk/football/view/95927/Shearer-s-in-the-driving-seat/

ALAN Shearer wants to sign Cardiff’s £6m-rated Geordie Michael Chopra to mark his return as Newcastle boss.

Shearer is ready to take the reins again – as a massive reshuffle at St James’s Park is set to see Barry Moat become chairman in the next 48 hours .

Owner Mike Ashley remains in overall charge, but will take a back seat as he puts his sale bid on hold for the rest of the season .

Moat has been unable to find £100m to buy the club. But he will run the Toon on a day-to-day basis, with his first job to bring back Shearer.

Can't see Cardiff letting Chopra go for 6 when they paid around 5 recently, would be a stupid deal for them.

Maybe Moat has been in on it all along with Ashley. Using him to get bids in for the club?

That non story from the Star involves large investment from Ashley in the next 5 days. By default its utter bollocks tbh.

Plus Shearer wouldnt come without enough funds to give us a chance, are we to ignore the Barclays overdraft now?
