The sports link is Leonard S. Coleman Jr. who used to be President of the National Baseball League.

We are giving him money if we buy baked beans or EA Sports games, or Rock Band games. He also does horse racing.

Sounds promising. And makes Redhaugh right again.

What did he say that was right this time?

he said at the time, sheard was just the middle-man for the deal

That there would be a scoop in today's Chronicle designed to allay our fears. Also that it wasn't Sheard himself that was doing the buying, more that he is an intermediary.

If only the Yanks had come in earlier. Wondering why they left it to this late if they were serious. Makes them sound more promising than Moat's offer as they have more dosh and a proper business plan

I guess Sheard spent ages looking for someone willing to help him out, which is what took so long.

So what is Sheard in it for, a stake and/or chairman position?

Someone suggested the other day that perhaps would-be investors were concered that we were going to sink like a stone on the pitch. Hughton and the players that are left have demonstrated that even with all this turmoil, even without a manager and even without any new players we are still more than a match for this division. Promotion looks much more likely that if did before the season began, especially with a few tweaks.

There's also a chance that people were interested but were actually hoping our stock was going to fall further.
