Guest toonlass
Hasn't the whole issue been that Fat Cunt Ashley wouldn't accept less than £100 Million, and Moat's bid is less than that? Given his well-known stubbornness, he isn't going to sell for less... As I said before, I bet there's just one bid on the table and it's less than £100m. It's even backed by Seymour Pierce. Cue desperate attempts to make the club look in demand even though the price hasn't changed in months...

Wonder if that's true. It can't be, Sillius said by the end of this week.

binnsy
how serious is the Newcastle trust? they had some news conference today. If they are good enogh I think they are our best bet..... i think they're really serious but as they've only so far raised £20m they are further away from buying than the likes of Moat. Personally i would like to see Moat come and join the NUST as surely together they could get Ashley out.

They say they have pledges from various so far un qualified sources and are wanting people to transfer their pension into Newcastle united.

Guest sicko2ndbest
They have basically raised 20mil on a promise. They do not have the cash availible, and i guarantee most people have offered it because they think it will never go ahead in a million years. As for the other bids, i agree with what someone else said, that it is a sign the casino cunt is back in town spinning his very own roulette wheel of horseshit! EthiGeordie
I still think it is best if the supporters have some say in the board room. they should form some sort of alliance with Mort and take some shareholding sorta thing.....

Guest Geordiekev
A sensible guess as to why a large share of the club being owned by fans is a good idea is that it would eliminate the chance of another Mike Ashley having sole ownership and the right to keep us all in the dark, It would not be so fans could manage the 1st team... the thought of this is just plain laughable. I would like to see the money placed alongside a consortium or sole owner so the fans could own about 20% of the club, It would seem more convincing for a sole owner to buy us to make a proffit later (Not what I would want to see). Pilko
Fans getting involved in ownership is not necessarily a bad thing, however i'm 100% convinced that our fans getting involved would be an absolute abortion of an idea.
