Btw, those comparing us to the McClaren era can fuck off, we're not as bad as that. We're actually creating chances and keeping the ball for more than 2 passes.

Aye.

It's also not that bad a watch for an England friendly IMO.

Imbalanced team. You can't play Defoe and have a pedestrian midfield behind him, completely negates his good qualities and that's been shows as he's barely had a kick. Get fucking barry off for Milner and have Gerrard come inside. Walcott and Milner on the wings.

Also, the two centre backs hamper our play so much, they're so slow we're shit scared of getting caught on the break so when we lose the ball everyone drops off about 10 yards. Totally, totally imbalanced.

Egypt looklike a team that has played regularly together, England on the other hand look very disjointed. Wouldn't shock me to see England improve 2nd half. Crouch should offer more of a focal point as Defoe has done little.

England should still be playing their friendlies around the country rather than at a half full Wembley.

Atmosphere has been wank, haven't heard a single bit of noise apart from the early jibba-jabba around Terry.

Lampard hasn't exactly been great but he's done more than Gerrard who's done nowt ffs, captain or not.

Agree, but then people would say it's pointless actually having the place if we're hardly ever going to use it.

They'll not do it now but it was great when we had an England game at St James Park, actually means you can watch England play without trekking all the way down to London. England have fans higher up the country than Manchester ffs.

The 10-year corporate seats or whatever are never full. Boils my piss. Watch the second half: they'll be 75% empty for the first ten minutes.

Dead as fuck just there at kick-off.

'Oh, it's back on is it? We'll be out in a minute, it's lovely and warm in here.'
