Mole_Toonfan
I'd be surprised if I see Brazil past the 1/4 finals next year if they keep on playing like that. You can't judge anything on friendlies. Guarentee it'll be different come next year. Not saying they'll win it, but there's no way they'll turn up and play so half-arsed and half-paced. Amazes me how seriously people take friendlies, Germany just lost to the yanks ffs. Anyway much improved 2nd half and a draw was about right in the end. Disco
Good thing with Brazil is that if they play anything other than 10/10 their ultra arrogant fans will be straight on their backs. On a flipside I thought Little Paul was MOM by a mile.

Cronky
The game changed when we tried a bit of positive thinking. Jones-Carrick-Lampard was a midfield designed to contain rather than attack, and the Ox changed that. I thought Rooney had a really good game, feeding off scraps. They probably should i agree, but they never will a lot of the major nations are the same. We are one of the few who do take it seriously. The last time they won the WC they were awful in the lead up and finished like 4th in qualifying iirc. Not saying they will win it, i doubt they will too many positions not settled but i don't think these games will have any implication on how they perform next summer. I'm not just going off the performance, I look at that team and I don't think it stacks up to previous Brazilian teams in terms of quality. You are correct about 2002. The pressure on them to succeed in their own back yard will be immense.

Mole_Toonfan
It doesn't, but quite frankly it doesn't need to be. I'd also argue this team is a lot stronger defensively than past Brazilian teams so there's that.

They should be favourites to win it, along with Spain.

HawK
Probably already been said, but this team is such a pale shadow of what Brazil normally have on show. I can't think of a weaker first 11 I've ever seen from them :/
