sempuki
Good player but with Elliot coming in he won't be missed. He hasn't been as crucial as he was when we finished 5th. What a load of s****, Elliott is several levels below him. Aye - I would say Elliot is barely Championship level.
NG32
Krul plays international football, Elliot never gets a game and lurks around the training pitch
Ste
It'll take the first low driven shot that Elliot fails to get down in time for for some to realise how much better Krul is.
djmattis
Sure he hasn't had the best form in a while, but still way better than any other options currently available. Get well Timmy.
Geordie Ahmed
I'm disappointed with Tim Krul, expected him to become a top, top keeper BUT it hasn't happened, however he is still comfortably better than that fat mess
Varadi
Rob Elliot obviously isn't up to Krul's level but I can't remember him having any Alnwick-style shockers so things shouldn't get quite as desperate as last year. Small bonus that we can at least expect some better distribution.
Geordie Ahmed
Alnwick was on another level of crapness, at least Elliot has good distribution

Elliot is an absolute mess though. Not just butterfingers, the guy actually has butter all over his hands.

joeyt
Elliot conceded a goal from a freekick by Juan Mata a few years ago and I've never seen a goalkeeper dive so slow and get nowhere near the ball
joeyt
also didn't he get sent off at at QPR which could have cost us our place in premier league?
Collage
I'd say Elliot is Championship standard. Bottom-half Championship standard, mind.

sugoinufc
awful news. close to be our most important player...he has started the season very well and he actually seems like he care...
dinotheprehistoricgeordie
Elliot is a decent back up, he did well last time he was called up. But he's not on the same level as Krul.
The College Dropout
Think Krul's been decent this season.

Small bonus that we can at least expect some better distribution. He's okay to fill in for a few games but if he's in for the rest of the season I expect we'll see a few gaffes. If Darlow's got anything about him he should be given a few games to see if he can step up.

HawK
Was behind his goal at Burnley when he did the flying save. Literally had this in my head at the time.
Guest dabe
In the league Rob Elliot has conceded 32 goals in 15 games, keeping 1 clean sheet against West Ham in 2013. Presided, in goal, over the 6-0 at Liverpool, 4-0 to Man City, 4-0 against Man U, 3-0 to Mackems in 12/13 and a 4-0 to Southampton in 2014. Would rather Woodman or Woolston. About the same ratio as the 15 in 8 Krul has shipped this season tbf. Very true. Which is all the more worrying if we're to believe Elliot is worse than Krul (which I do). Also I'd say Krul has stagnated and somewhat regressed over the past couple of years, though that could be due to a few external factors; management, coaching, defense, injuries. Sho Time
Add lack of competition to that list too.
TaylorJ_01
Add lack of competition to that list too. big time. The only driving factor there is getting in the national team. He's never gonna get put behind Elliot.
