sbnufc
It's borderline the same level was my point. It's genuinely horrific. Still the premier league of his home country though. He hasnt played/lived in the Netherlands for 11 years, he'd be mad to turn it down if anything
Newcastle Fan
He's a top lad and and excellent goal keeper, clearly loves the City and the fans too, wish him all the best wither its with us or someone else, i would've wanted him to stay and help us out but seems like Rafa wants to give chances to the other three. Happinesstan
Happy with this. He could have done a Given and dumped the club, I think he has earned the right to play at the top level and I'm relieved we have the opportunity to bring him back when we are a top club again. Who was offering him the chance to dump the club? Hope he stays, I like having players who have been here a while who aren't utterly shit around the place
Tubestationatmidnight
Top lad when he's not laughing and backslapping Defoe after conceding at Sunderland
54
Top lad when he's not laughing and backslapping Defoe after conceding at Sunderland I still don't get why people get pissed off at this, do people actually think he was happy to concede a goal, especially to our rivals? It's like people expect footballers to be robots
Tubestationatmidnight
It looked like he was. Never had the same oppinion of him since then, same for me and many others
Pata
It looked like he was. Never had the same oppinion of him since then, same for me and many others You honestly think he was happy that Defoe scored? Jesus.
Tubestationatmidnight
I said it looked that way. He certainly didn't look bothered about it did he.
54
I said it looked that way. He certainly didn't look bothered about it did he. I'm sure he was very happy that the club that he's been at since he was a teenager, helped him develop into one of the best keepers in English football, has lived in the area his whole adult life, is attached to both the fans and the area, had conceded a goal to there arch rivals. You're sure of that. Again, he's a human, do you expect him to be emotionless?

54
Robot? No. Professional? Yes So you're telling me that if you we're in that situation, you're walking down the tunnel, and your having a conversation with the opposition, you can't react to anything he says? The fact that you think he was actually pleased about conceding a goal, is just fucking ridiculous.
Tubestationatmidnight
React to something he says yes. Laugh and give him back slaps in full public view no.
Hanshithispantz
So weird. It's like when people were kicking off with Simpson for saying "United" despite him being born and raised in Manchester.

hoppaz
React to something he says yes. Laugh and give him back slaps in full public view no. You are forgetting key info here, he came straight out after the game and said on live TV he could not repeat what he said to him at the time as it was not broadcast-able. Now on your value rictascale those words could be as low as John Terry's racist mouth words (3m) to Bruce Gobbler's spaghetti legs (35m). I think Krul is with you on this one. SUPERTOON
Perfect deal for us and Tim, gives him a chance to get 100% fit in a less physical league, and when he comes back next year we will hopefully be in a better position to make a longer term decision. 54
I find it hilarious, that someone can right a player off after only playing four games, especially considering its a player who coming in from abroad and has to settle, as well as being in a position where it takes a while for ability and confidence to shine through, De Gea for example.
