Saw the Mike Basset film some years ago, it's very uneven but some bits really funny. Love the scene at the airport with the Scotland and Ireland teams.

Here comes the England B Team.

Surely the best review of the season just gone.

Worth a little of your time. Nothing like adding the personal touch.

Had a quick glance over it. Appears to start talking at length about his family life and housing situation halfway through. What a mental.

Same thoughts here, then realised it was exactly the type of thing I'd expect to read on N-O

Saturday's tea-time thrashing of Ipswich came to my mind as I stared longingly into the breasts of cougar-esque MILF down at the Bigg Market...Kevin Nolan's hat-trick was the first thing to get me excited that evening but hopefully not the last. And then Jill said she was going down the shops for a Kit-Kat and Greg went out to get a sandwich.

Did you read through to the end?

My favourite bit is when, after he's fallen out with - and is not speaking to - his sisters, he smashes up the pot plants they got him for Xmas. Closely followed by the Louth Fire Brigade sending him a bill for their services after he crashes his car in a hailstorm.

There's a few NO ones I'd read. NE5, for one.

Awww man, missed it. Always remember the man in the wheelchair screaming "we're gonna walk it".

Loved the series anarl, shame there was only a few episodes.

"You took Newcastle down to League One".

"Yes, but I did cut the wage bill in half".

Haven't seen it posted anywhere but there is another "nufc statement" on the offical site

www.nufc.co.uk

NUFC Statement

Last season Newcastle United Football Club banned reporters of The Daily Mail from all games, the training ground, and from all press conferences. This decision had been reluctantly taken after repeated irresponsible press coverage.

The Daily Mail have recently made approaches through the Association of Editors for the ban to be reviewed. Newcastle United Football Club were considering that request when The Mail on Sunday decided to publish its disgraceful story about Lord Triesman. That story was not in the best interest of English football and has had enormous adverse repercussions already with regard to the 2018 World Cup bid.

Newcastle United Football Club supports the stance taken by Gary Lineker who has ceased to provide a column for the newspaper and has been outspoken in his criticism.

The Daily Mail and The Mail on Sunday, will be unwelcome at Newcastle United for the foreseeable future. The club has also written to the Premier League and all other Premier League Chairmen, asking for their support in Newcastle's stance against these publications

A suprisingly good statement from the club for once. Mail should be banned full stop not just from SJP.

What the fuck does an article about Lord Triesman got to do with us? It was a stupid article but there was no need for us 'to back Gary Lineker'

I suspect that 'NUFC' is sticking up for English football.  It also has an impact on NUFC, as they were hoping to host in the World Cup too.
