Danny Simpson (now retired)

The owners deserve credit too. You end up with the shambles with us and Villa from the very top. Leicester owners have invested in the club without going the QPR route. They're no more wealthy than Ashley or Lerner but have a better attitude, focus and ability to run the club.

The bit Leicester understand that you and us don't is that it's not just about throwing money at it, it's about getting maximum value from it.

That's my point, I doubt those people make the major decisions with who to sign or how much to pay. No doubt they sign it off but they listen to those who know and trust their judgement, be that Pearson, Ranieri or the scout who found Mahrez.

Whereas everyone making those decisions at NUFC (and probably Villa too) has been fixated on signing every player based on one thing, sell on value.

An MD/Chief Exec is going to decide who they sign and how much.  Same for any company.  They've been given the remit to make decisions that befit the club in terms of league position as a priority.  Not sell-on fee or balance sheet.  But in a sustainable manner.

Even the likes of Sullivan and Parish - go shites who interfere with transfers above the manager still have the clubs best interests at heart.  There's nobody at our club with real power who cares and is trying.

IF we do stay up.  It looks like Rafa might wield more power than any manager in the league save for Wenger. That is so exciting it's not worth thinking about.

Why not though...

He's probably the most in form English full back and that's the same argument people use for wanting the likes of Vardy and not Rooney...

Because Clyne and Walker are better than him, and are equally in good form. ???

How many can you take in the squad? 25?

Forgot about Walker but it all depends who they intend to have in front of them. I get the impression that not only on here but in general people expect they're defenders to be decent at attacking primarily these days, which is a load of shite imo, obviously depending on tactics, etc.

Fair play to Simpson he's played in the majority of games and deserves his medal as much as anyone, Didn't Woy say he was only taking 7 defenders ?

We could potentially playing with a diamond formation in the summer and for that to work you need your full backs to be able to attack and provide width.

watching the game against Swansea and it had me amazed that they won 4-0 and had 38% possession how the fuck does that work out?

in the champions league next season they are going to be destroyed by allowing teams to have the ball. its no co incidence the team that likes to keep the ball and pass around you has beaten them twice this year

as amazing an achievement as it is next season will be a huge eye opener for them
