Nobody
heres a better question, who the hell will buy these players if they are allowed to sell them, they had a chance to sell last month and there wasnt much interest then now was there? Also, what would be the point in buying a player if he's going to go for free soon? Which their entire squad will if they're wound up.
Village Idiot
We have been linked with Belhadj for this particular reason, the fact we could sign him outside the window on the cheap to cover for our current defense woes (although it's probably bollocks since we don't really need a leftback). Guest Stephen927
They're fucked. If there wasn't a quality brothel nearby, Grant would have bailed out a long time ago.

Village Idiot
I just made contact again with a Pompey fan I knew that told me he went to a fans forum in Portsmouth yesterday. Apparently nobody blames Redknapp for what's happening, they think he stretched the wages a lot but has been "loyal to the club" buying back players at good prices to take them out of the ditch. Mandaric is who they blame for it all. Apparently the loans he took to bankroll the squad in the early 2000s were crippling and have been biting them in the ass (forcing refinancing after refinancing) until they have caught up on them. One of the things they are looking at is selling Fratton Park and having it leased back. Nobody at the forum thought they were making it out of this, but would rebuild the club in the non-leagues if necessary. Oh, they have 3 new rumoured owners. A local consortium and two overseas. Cronky
One of the things they are looking at is selling Fratton Park and having it leased back. I can't see why anyone would buy a football ground if they didn't own the club as well. It's not as though the Council is going to give you planning permission to develop the site at a later date, if the local football club still needs the ground. Guest John McClane
This is getting so f***ing dodgy. Now those tossers at West Ham are offering to lend them £10m as they don't want to lose the 4 points they would lose should Pompey go out of business. thats bollox mate there skint aswell that wont happen

It wouldn't be West Ham as such, it would have been Gold personally lending them £10m. You're right though, it won't happen.
Guest
The karma if West Ham go down because of Pompey going out of business.

jdckelly
christ the mirror doesn't know whether its coming or going, in one article they claim bruce will buy mark wilson this week http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Portsmouth-star-Mark-Wilson-poised-to-join-Sunderland-so-crisis-club-can-pay-players-article328373.html and in another they say the premier league has thrown out the claim on the advice of other clubs who don't like the plan http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/news/Portsmouth-plunged-to-the-brink-of-bankruptcy-after-Premier-League-reject-request-to-sell-players-now-article328873.html

JH
It's funny that these PL team representatives will be the same that will complain if Pompey fold and they lose the points won against them. Idiots.
LoveItIfWeBeatU
What's the situation if they liquidate? 2 teams get relegated from the Premiership as the 3rd position is taken up by what would have been Portsmouth? How does the Championship adjust to only 2 teams coming down from the Premiership but 3 get promoted to the Premiership? 4 go up from League 1 or only 2 are relegated from the Championship? Jordan
i think four championship teams come up and same amount get relegated from championship and the same will happen in every league

Stifler
It would be great if 4 teams come up from the CCC, that would almost garuntess us getting promoted and 3 teams who should be worse off then us at the end of next season. However I doubt it will happen.
