Roeder will be doon in London to watch Oz v Ghana, I don't think Kingston will play  but I think Sammi Kufuor and Stephen Appiah will be, wonder who Roeder has his eye on. Mind he will have to see him play 10 times before making his mind up.

Glenn's Ghana sweat on Moore

Nov 14 2006

By Alan Oliver, The Evening Chronicle

Glenn Roeder travels down to London on a double mission tonight.

The United boss will be in the Loftus Road crowd to watch Australia take on Ghana in a friendly match and keep an eye on his central defender Craig Moore.

However, Roeder would be more than happy if he did not clap eyes on Moore tonight as he keeps a wary eye on his defensive formation for Saturday's trip to Arsenal.

He already has Stephen Carr and Celestine Babayaro on the treatment table with their respective toe and groin injuries and Titus Bramble suffering from a bit of back trouble.

Before heading down to West London, Roeder told me: "You don't often get the chance to watch Ghana play and they have produced some pretty good players in recent seasons.

"And, like Australia, they did pretty well in the last World Cup."

Moore was one of the Aussie stars - and goalscorers - in Germany in the summer and Roeder is understandably hoping that he does not play tonight as the 31-year-old defender has been carrying a bit of a groin injury lately.

United's other Aussie James Troisi, who was on the bench in Palermo for the last UEFA Cup tie, has now signed professional forms at St James' Park.

But he will not be in action at Loftus Road tonight, with Roeder adding: "James has been asked to train with the Australian squad but he will not be involved tonight."

Once Roeder leaves Loftus Road he will check on how his other players on international duty tonight have fared, praying they have come through unscathed.

Seppe Rossi is in Frosinore for Italy's Under-21 friendly with the Czech Republic, while a fit-again Alan O'Brien gets a run-out with the Republic of Ireland B side in their match with Scotland in Dublin.

And while Steven Taylor has stayed at home with a groin problem, James Milner is with the England Under-21 party for their friendly with Holland in Alkmaar.

does glenn really like physical players that much!

first he went and blew 10 million at martins, then sibreski, our whole line up consists of either fast,or strong players, they are all natural athletes, but NOT FOOTBALL PLAYERS,kuffor is more of a bramble type defender, and appiah is not half as scott parker, but knowing glenn,we will be welcoming them come january

i hate the way roeder acts,as if he is going to survive till january,he must thinking too ahead of himself here, january is 1 and a half month from now,we got 8-10 games in that period,he must think of how to win those games, not how to lose them and then try to fix them at the nxt transfer

He'll have a look at Kuffour, go over to Rome to watch him a few times, he'll go to Liverpool as Hyypia's replacement and we'll sign someone else with Roeder saying "he was first choice all along".

I would much rather have Appiah. Hopefully Glenn liked the look of him when we played Fenerbahce and will be watching him again tonight.

Parker is the ultimate holding player he just gets stuck in 100% commited like that but Appiah is a smart player and in the WC he did go forward quite allot, and if true that emre might leave could be usefull signing Appiah and could bereplacement for Butt
