ponsaelius
Been given first refusal on Taraabt at the end of the season maybe?? wtf would be the point in that. We need players now.
Guest taps01
He's not good enough I don't see the problem. It's all very well people saying we need cover put it's pretty pointless when he's not up to it! Emergency scenario is Jonas right and Ferguson left if Barton & Gosling are out. You'd prefer a kid who's played about 20 minutes of PL football to Routledge? Madness. Nope but don't have a problem with losing our 3rd choice right-sided player. Except he was 2nd choice, and 1st choice if you're going on out and out right wingers. It really isnt the end of the world losing Routledge

And we still have Jonas as an option if need be down that side. He's contributed 1 assist all season and has generally been wank. Don't see what he brings to the side whether it's as first-choice, sub, back-up, so why keep him?
TRon
He really isn't much of a loss. If we are talking about Barton and Gosling being ahead of him despite being central midfielders that tells you how well he did this season.
JH
Because we need a squad of players. I'd rather play Routledge than have nobody.
The Prophet
In fairness Rouledge has offered nothing this season, he's resorted back to type: can beat a man but can't cross for toffee. Thinking about it that could adequately describe Jonas too.

First refusal on Ramage at the end of the season maybe? Who knows? Who cares? May as well spread some rumours.

ponsaelius
I wouldn't give a fanny if we had somebody on the verge of joining, but I'm not at all convinced that's the case.
Flip
I hope we have someone in line to come in otherwise this is pointless.

Disco
Hopefully this will trigger an incoming player. Seems daft to get rid of him otherwise, especially when our squad is undermanned at best or is Pardew under orders to rid us of all things Hughton? ponsaelius
I think Ronaldo hit the nail on the head the other day when he said there is about 7 players that need to go before we get rid of Routledge. So for me, giving away one of our least costly players like this just seems nonsensical - regardless of how poor he has been.
TRon
Hmmmm...just had a thought. Hope this isn't going to be used to justify signing HBA on a permanent.

Cunning_Linguist
This is going to be a proper fuckin sloppy bit of business if we dont have another player on the way in. At least Routledge will get the games at QPR and on top of that he might be on a secret mission to try and persuade Taarabt to sign for us........ Consortium of one
According to the Sky website, it looks like a transfer rather than a loan.
Guest ObiChrisKenobi
He hasn't been that poor though. It all seemed to hinge if he beat the full back first time or not. If he got around them first go, he'd go on to have a great game, but if he didn't he seemed to back off (and out of the game).
