Dave
Second half today affirms that Jonas, Enrique, Carroll, Guthrie, Colo have improved as players, and are definitely top 6 - 10 players next year. With Barton and Taylor that's a fairly decent spine to work around. Steady on.
thenige
Pretty shocking for seventy minutes, Jonas (who I'm a massive fan of) didn't look interested until he scored. Nolan was anonymous, Harper made a pretty poor error, Simpson was disappointing (another player I don't overly criticise), Guthrie's passing and delivery was a bit all over the place and the front two were fed scraps. But yeah, a decent point considering everything. Enrique was probably head and shoulders our best player today in my opinion, and even he didn't look 100% fit. Chris_R
Pisses me off when Jonas has those patches of being just a terror, running at players and looking for the ball to be played to him all the time. You wonder why the f*** he doesn't do it all the time. Erm, because he'd be f***ing knackered after 10 minutes perhaps? Nah man, remember that game at Old Trafford in his debut. That was pretty much what he did, and it was awesome. Take it you just watched the highlights then? Nobody can sprint for 90 minutes, it's not possible. Sure he had a great debut, and we all want him to have more end product but he needs a breather between running at the opposition.
bulivye
i think anyone but best up front & we'd have won this.

Guthrie suffers, I think, from Gary Speed syndrome: having to do the work of a half-arsed central midfield partner. Especially away from home. If he, or indeed any of the others had a bit more nous about them for the first 70 minutes (Or the first 93 minutes for Best) we'd have had a much better chance of coming away with all 3. With Barton and Taylor that's a fairly decent spine to work around. Careful. I'm basing it more on the last few games rather than today. But I thought over the whole 90 minutes today this wasn't the best performance, but they turned it round in the end. We're going to need a lot of players next year who don't give up when we're two goals down, because, lets face it, its going to happen a lot.

Guest fraser
We all know that we were on a hiding to nothing in this game. Plucky City, having just lost their manager, had nothing to lose and played like it; next week they'll struggle. This was typical of our games this season versus the plucky underdog and we could have and should have won it. I think we have a team with sufficient quality to get promoted and stay up next season. Mr Logic
They showed a bit of belief about themselves, a real desire to fight back. It was nice to see, don't think they could have done that earlier this season.

Skeletor
Saw the best and the worst of Jonas today. First half absolutely gutless, pulling out of every challenge, throwing himself to the floor at every opportunity. Think playing up against the shit Kiki Musampa look-a-like made him come to life and he was unstoppable then. That volley of his was also awesome. Andy Caroll is really proving himself as well. Couldn't be more pleased with him. Felt sorry for Best in the second half. He did look like he was trying to score at the very least which was an improvement. As for Kevin Nolan... Amir_9
Anyone not content with a point you need to realise that not only the fact this is an away game, but the general level of fatigue is clearly starting to show on the players as well, were starting to play midweek games with the same squad week-in, week-out, theres no major squad rotation going on, as long as we keep winning at home and pick up draw/wins away from home, we'll finish in the top 2. Harper 6 - Should have done better for the first goal, had the time to pick up the rebound. Simpson 6 - This is his level really, cant expect much more from him. Should have closed down Maynard for that second goal, why the f*** would you back off inside the box? Collocini 6.5 - Great ball distribution as usual, not much wrong from him, but not one of his better games. Hall 6 - Capable of performing at this level, and clears the ball well, good clearance from 2 yards out as well. Enrique 7 - Kept running forward and bossed around whatever came his way defensively. Jonas 7 - Awful first half, completly different man after the hour mark, great awareness for his goal. Guthrie 6 - Average game from him, really should have scored at the end of the first half. Nolan 5 - Same old Nolan, should have scored that header. Routledge 6 - Kept bothering them with his pace, but could have done better with the ball at his feet today, not one of his good games. Carroll 7.5 - My MOTM, kept fighting for the ball in the air, made some defensive clearances as well, may his scoring form continue. Best 4.5 - Woeful, total and utterly woeful, we should have started with Ranger today and brought this fella to try and make an impact similar to the Swansea game late during the game. Did do fine in the end, unlucky not to get his first goal with that header. Kadar 6.5 - Did nothing wrong really. Hughton 5.5 - Started with the lineup which everyone expected here, but made no impact subs at all, even if Pancrate and Ranger were our only attacking players left on the bench. ElDiablo
I really like Kadar, seems aggressive when he needs to be, and seems to be very comfortable with the ball at his feet.
