Lovely bloke, known him for 25 years, red and white daft and genuinely loves his club. He understands where the problems are and his feet are definitely on the ground where football is concerned. He works at the training ground and is friendly with a few of the players - it's his dream job. We got talking about Sunderland and he told me that he watched a bit of the training on Thursday and they were practising crossing and finishing and, in his words it were "fucking pitiful". Crosses going fucking everywhere and in the 15 minutes he watched them he only saw one cross converted despite there being no keeper stopping the shots. He was really downbeat about the club tbh.
