Well it looks like Newcastle United is 361.55x more likeable than Sunderland FC.

I'm sure he/she/it shall be pleased.

Why not share this fight with your friends:

Sunderland connfirm we won't be signing Muntari and has returned to Inter with immediate effect and won't play last 2 games.

What a shame. :)

How does he rate in terms of a 6 month loan signing?

Not very highly, clearly didn't want to be here and was a major disappointment. The only bonus is that he was only on loan so thankfully we weren't stuck with his hefty wages.

Are you not back to square one a bit now?

You need a central midfielder with real authority and not just a clogger like Cattermole, you've spent a good amount in terms of wages and a loan fee on Muntari yet you seem no closer to getting anyone?

I can't even think of a CM you've been linked with.

Sunderland have decided not to take up the option to sign on-loan Inter Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari.

The 26-year-old midfielder joined the Black Cats from the Italian side in January and has made seven starts and two outings as a substitute.

"Sulley has been a great professional in his time here," said Sunderland manager Steve Bruce.

"Naturally we'd like to thank him for his contribution and wish him all the best for the future."

Muntari's agent, Fabien Piveteau, had claimed Sunderland would not try to sign the Ghanaian midfielder because of his wages.

"There is no chance at Sunderland for Sulley. They have decided he is too expensive," said Piveteau.

But Piveteau, who also represents Ghana's John Mensah, is confident the defender does have a Black Cats future.

"For John there is a good chance," Piveteau added.

"The situation with him is that if he played 25 games he would definitely sign for Sunderland but he has only played 18 at the moment.

"He has not played all of the games but it has been a different type of injury this season for John.

"At the moment I think results are the priority, but the coaches will talk with him soon about next season."

Mensah is in his second loan spell at Sunderland from French side Lyon but his season has again been ruined by injury.

Muntari, meanwhile, has failed to score in eight league games for the Black Cats.

I worked in sunderland for 2 years and travelled back to jarrow on an evening on the metro. the doylem in the wheelchair has a lass, shes a right munter, and they were always necking on while on the metro, and one evening he slid a couple of fingers up her while they were on the platform at sunderland train station.

to be totally honest, whilst i knew it was so wrong of me, i couldnt help but watch.
