I.e Bramble

look how we dealt with it compared to the mags with nile ranger!! yet again we show that we're classier than them.

There is an element of truth in that but on the flip side our handling of carrol's adventures led us to getting 35 million quid to reinvest (haha).  That may not have happened the situations ha been handled differently.

To be fair to Bruce, he's spot on today with his commend on how footballers should conduct themselves. We've all known for years that Bramble is a moron, but his comments on players in general ring true.

It is ours. No other match in world football means more than ours. The north east of England has a strong claim to being the home of world football and thus whomever rules our region becomes an international force.

But more, our is a clash of ideas, a battle for the soul of football. We represent the positive strands of society, such as democracy, comradeship, dignity and the belief that morality matters more than money. The mags are a sinister, grubby sect who reject our ideals and desire nothing more than a Thatecherite society where all sense of urpose is lost.

Guess who.

in which way does the north east lay a claim to being the home of world football ?

as for the rest you have to wonder wether he actually believes this or they are just the last strands of trying to convince himself he has something to hold onto.  the bit about society and comradeship etc being hilarious to anyone who actually knows the area of sunderland and understands how the differing areas hate each other (like we did in the 70's) and dignity for crying out loud from the club that made it's star player want to go to turkey (nowt against turkey except from a footballing ambition point of view) after his mother was racially abused, democracy...is sunderland a democratic club, what the fuck is he on about ?, then morality from a club which has had as many gangbangs and twattish players as any other club.

he;s got one thing on the button, we reject their ideals, which to me are deluding yourself (setting the transfer market alight, mags green with envy), mistaking quantity for quality and most damning having sense of self importance far in advance of any reality.
