I thought Jose's goal may be the best moment of the season. But then I remembered the Barnsley match, Shola's hattrick, the server crash when Ranger scored, demolishing Ipswich and Cardiff, Lovenkrands scoring after his dad died, the comeback against Bristol City and of course the Spiderman mask.

What a fantastic season its been and theres been some memories I'll cherish forever. Obviously its great to get out of this division, but just when being a Toon fan became a chore, this season has reinvigorated my love for this club. We'll all look back at this year with some very fond memories. I've really loved this season  :aww:

Well said. I couldn't agree more.

I really hope this doesn't end up in someone's sig on RTG in a few months.

Reason #12862 why I love espn360: I was so disappointed at not being able to watch the match while at work here in the US. I just got home, realized it was on espn360, so I can watch a replay of the entire match...for free. Excited to start watching now, especially knowing what's to come in the 2nd half.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I really do think the fact the mental side of things will be huge. Forget the playing staff just for a second: the fact there's a buzz around the club, a new-found confidence, hunger and energy within the players it seems - this could be huge as you go into the season next year. Of course, yes, what happens over the summer will be key in maintaining that momentum, but let's hope the players can take the confidence winning consistently, albeit at this level, has given them.

Turned my cell phone off while at work today.  Bought some beers on the way home.  Took the laptop straight out onto the porch and watched the match.  Love 360.

That sounds like a good night to me.

A porch?, fucking hell, I dont think one even exists in the North East of England. You should count your blessings on having such luxuries my man.

f*** me, look at that forum if you dare, what a bunch of bitter c***s

Who the f*** pissed in their drinks

They're a bunch of 11 year olds no self-respecting Forest fan takes seriously! forestfans.net or footballforums.net usually offers better, more realistic opinions (although keep in mind that all clubs have their fair share of deluded idiots!).

Thought you guys were excellent tonight, just seemed powerful and confident. We just need to get a first fucking goal, because our attacking play seriously lacks incision when we're low on confidence. That said, although I thought it was even game up until the goal, can't deny you deserved the win overall. Also, to the Toon fan who said our supporters were shit, I thought the atmosphere as a whole was fantastic. I only saw it on the telly admittedly, but I heard 'Mist Rolling In', full of fun etc. quite a bit, especially at the start of the second half. Thought both fans were in fantastic voice.

Here here, alot of Toon fans (myself included) looked forward to Championship status for those very reasons! I knew the CCC would be a uniquely enjoyable experience...but I could never have foreseen just exactly how much I would have enjoyed it and rekindled my love affair with football, let alone NUFC.

For the first time ever..I may invest in an Official NUFC Season Review DVD. But only if there is an interview with Chris Hughton on the upper deck of an Open top bus saying he "cant take anything for granted as there is still a long way to go" filmed half way up Gossy High Street!

And if its got a DVD exclusive on The Sale of Geremi!

Geremi!!!

Why the frig does he still wear the gumshield?

He probably doesn't want to lose his teeth is my guess.

How many players lose their teeth during a match like? It's hardly common.

obviously gumshields were a pointless invention then.

Chatted with a few Forest supporters after the match and they conceded that Forest were clearly the poorer team throughout the match. I thought they were fucking gash, tbh.

We've had a lot Gasher visit us this year!

Not much to say that hasn't already been said but anyway:

First half was alright, we were comfortably the better team but our final ball was lacking. Not sure how much the conditions were disrupting things but the ball was noticeably slowing in areas of the pitch so I imagine dribbling and slick passing was harder than usual. In terms of chances, well Carroll outright refused his, from 10 yards I don't care if it's on his wrong foot just hit the fucking thing. Lovenkrands had one of those nights where nothing went right for him, and Carroll was wrestling with their centre half for the majority, so all in all chances were few and far between. Forest meanwhile showed no ambition and were looking to keep us at 0 and worry about nicking a goal later. Having said that, Blackstock had a great chance to make it 1-0 but he fluffed his lines completely.

Second half Forest showed some ambition which gave us more chance to use the pace of Routledge, but for some reason (probably the conditions as mentioned above) he kept cutting back inside where he does a lot of good work anyway. The goal was a bit fortunate in that Forest cleared it off their own man and Nolan played a simple ball to Shola who did all the hard work and on his left picked out the corner, good lad. Forest decided to bring plan B into operation and threw on Earnshaw, who despite scoring goals at this level forever was deemed benchworthy. A couple of half chances for us, Nolan on his left saved and Routledge - who is either deceptively strong or Forest are as weak as piss - with a decent effort straight at Camp. The second goal was brilliant, short corner to Jonas who looked like he was going to keep it in the corner, 4 Forest lads trotted over to try and get it back and 2 passes later they were all out the game and Enrique was beneath everyone. Job done and barring some sort of disaster, we'll be promoted over one of the Easter games. Hopefully we'll go on and take the title, WBA will probably push us all the way but we've got nothing to fear from our remaining games.

Alan Wiley is a really fussy wanker  A particularly good example is a free kick he had taken 3 times because it wasn't taken from the exact spot about half way inside our own half, by us. Once we're back in the big time it'll be a shame to have our weekends ruined by egotistical fucknuts again.

Harper - Nout to do, couple of routine saves. Good starting positions tonight as well, a few times in the first half he was out like a shot.

Simpson - Didn't fancy attacking much, didn't do much massively wrong

Enrique - Legend. Glad he got his goal, let's hope he keeps this up

Williamson - Fantastic, contender for man of the match IMO. Lost nothing in the air and dominated our box

Coloccini - Solid again from our most improved player.

Routledge - Good in spells, been better, will be worse no doubt.

Jonas - Didn't have the beating of their fullback as much as he has in previous matches but always an outlet.

Nolan - Better than his usual shite but not great by any means, when he was last on the pile on I assumed Jose was dead

Guthrie - Drove us forward quite a bit first half but final ball was lacking. Corners were shite.

Lovenkrands - Not his night, but a willing runner.

Carroll - SHOOT MAN

Shola - Good finish, good assist, even worked hard after he'd scored. What annoys me is how long it takes him to get back onside after he's bothered to close down the keeper, then it comes back and he doesn't challenge and people go mental at him.

Hughton - Picked the best team we have available to us, and we play better football than we did 4 months ago. Keep it up.
