STM
The press don't know what's going on and that's because everything has gone quiet. I'm not worried by the silence.
BONTEMPI
Well if we get nothing in the way of quality in then Ashley can only blame himself when we go back down. Shocking that we had only 1 new player available for the toughest match of the season

STM
Like i say, the press are playing guessing games. If he's confident of getting players in, i'd be suprised is one of them wasn't Ben Arfa.
Guest BooBoo
Getting really fucking tired if hearing Hughton trotting out the same line all summer long about "remaining confident". Stuck record.
BottledDog
Getting really fucking tired if hearing Hughton trotting out the same line all summer long about "remaining confident". Stuck record. Pretty sure he's pretty tired of repeating it tbh. Nevertheless if he does remain confident, what else is he supposed to say?
ads
Getting really fucking tired if hearing Hughton trotting out the same line all summer long about "remaining confident". Stuck record. In Hughton's defence, I assume he's only having to spout this line in order to answer questions from the press. Of course it's frustrating as we haven't made as many new signings as we need but if it was as easy as contacting the club, getting the go ahead for the price we're willing to pay and then agreeing terms immediately then we'd have signed more than the current three I'm sure. I've got faith in Chris and, to a degree, the board. There's still a couple of weeks until the transfer window closes and I, for one, remain optimistic. Martin Lol
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/8902975.stm#new POTENTIAL TARGETS: Hatem Ben Arfa, Jimmy Bullard, Alan Hutton. Are these just 'these players would be good', or are there actual reports of 'interest' I've missed? It was said on Spurs Community that Newcastle had enquired about Hutton's situation and if he was available. That's as far as it's got. I would guess that Hughton has made lots of similar enquiries. colinmk
Hutton, Ben Arfa and a good tackling midfielder and we'd have a potentially decent first team. Nae cash coming out of poor little mike though so dream on.
