ponsaelius
No Charlie Davies for the US. What we'll do at forward will be quite interesting. Howard, Hahnemann, Guzan Onyewu, Bocanegra, Spector, Cherundolo, DeMerit, Bornstein, Pearce, Goodson, Marshall Donovan, Dempsey, Clark, Bradley, Edu, Torres, Holden, Feilhaber, Beasley, Bedoya, Kljestan, Rogers Altidore, Ching, Buddle, Gomez, Findley, Johnson That forward line is poor. What happened to Jermaine Jones throwing in his lot with the US?
Disco
Shame one of them isn't English or in Brasil's case left footed. Yeah Brazil are pletty blessed at RB. Similarly France are absolutely stacked at LB: Evra, Abidal, Clichy, Cissokho, Tremoulinas. Dommenech will probably end up picking Didier Domi though. Howard, Hahnemann, Guzan Onyewu, Bocanegra, Spector, Cherundolo, DeMerit, Bornstein, Marshall Donovan, Dempsey, Clark, Bradley, Edu, Torres, Holden, Feilhaber, Beasley Altidore, Ching, Buddle, Gomez Probably can interchange Gomez and Johnson. I would imagine Dempsey or Donovan gets moved up front depending on how well Holden or Beasley come along in camp.

Ah, didn't know that frindlies didn't count. If I remember correctly he even had a fall out with Joachim Löw so that could explain why he was so determined to play for the US as well. Some absolute monstrous talent in that team (Robben, Van Persie, Sneijder, van der Vaart) but they aren't very strong throughout the team, especially at the back. Will be interesting to see how they do.

ponsaelius
Annoyed with Lippi's stubborness to call up Cassano like. I know he's always trouble but he would be grand entertainment at the World Cup, superb player. I mean, the likes of Borrielo and Rossi have nothing on him in terms of pure talent. Thought Miccoli would get in aswell, he's been sensational for Palermo this season. Overall though that's a pretty solid forward line for Italy, it's the defence that's worrying. What about Gamberini and Marchionni? Isn't Giovinco worth taking too since he's fast as fuck? Kinda Walcottish? Is Cassano still 'retired' from international football? And is Totti too old (like Del Piero)? Whats the craic with Quagliarella aswell? Heard he has a great shot on him. So many questions, sorry, not up to date with Italian players! Flip
Wow, besides Spain, is there any decent football team in this world cup if you look by the quality of players. The Netherlands look really average, Italy also, Argentina, Brazil and England as well. There is no team that is strong on all fronts. And i just came to think of it, without thinking of it until now, but Lucas didn't make the Brazil squad. Wow I am happy now!
