jdckelly
Can't help but love the man. Best manager around today. I think he's a plague on football and a full representation of exactly whats wrong in the modern game in one person.

LucaAltieri
It's a facade. He gives the media what they want in order to divert focus. There's a reason he can say what he wants and still share a bottle of wine with just about any manager in the league. They all know what's up. He's a great manager, in part down to his media presence, but even ignoring that he's tactically very good. It's seldom players fail to perform under him. Chelsea's striker situation being a notable exception, and something he inherited. As much as I rate Klopp and Wenger neither are as good as Mourinho. Guardiola is a fair shout. It's also with noting that while Barca were at their peak very few teams could handle them. Mourinho regularly worked out ways to best them and while at multiple clubs too. He did it at Inter, at Real, and was within a referees decision of doing it with Chelsea the first time around. The man is the best on the modern game. Don't let his distraction tactics fool you. David28
His substitutions are what really seperates him from other managers. All the mind games, pre-game tacticts, it's what every manager can do. His immediate reactions during games is what really makes a difference.

All the mind games, pre-game tacticts, it's what every manager can do. His immediate reactions during games is what really makes a difference. All the best managers do that.... Guardiola has done it regularly. ( he would regularly do it against Mourinho to win Clasico after Clasico) Even recently against Dortmund ( a team Mourinho had no answer for tactically) he used subs to take the game away from them. Klopp and Wenger do it regularly as well.... Klopp less so but he has less options to call upon than most top managers. While Mourinho is very good at changing a game with subs he's not in a league of his own.
Guest bimpy474
Funny at times, but ultimately is a rather nasty piece of work as a manager.

Watched a vid a week or so ago which also just showed that. Will try to find

The College Dropout
Jose also has had the luxury of having genuinely fantastic squads which helps with subs but aye that's one of his strong points. IMO his ability to get the best out of players is his primary strength. Tactically, I don't think he has an edge on any other top manager. It's a shame he doesn't rate Mata. Physically Mata's not a Mourinho player but neither was Ozil.

LucaAltieri
I read somewhere his record was something like 4-2-4 against Barca while at Real.

CL he lost once with Real (the match Pepe got sent off) and once with Inter.

Anderson
Loss % of 37% isn't exactly shabby against the Barca teams he's faced, like.
Flip
He only beat Guardiola twice, his record isn't as bad against Barcelona because he didn't lose his last 5 games against them, in which Guardiola didn't manage them. Guardiola against Mourinho's Real Madrid is quite impressive: 5W 4D 2L 22GF 13GA (if I've done the counting right)

Flip
Contrast with Wenger's 1-6-2 record against Barca. I'd say Real under Mourinho was a far better squad than Wenger has had in 7-8 years.
LucaAltieri
I'd say the same about the Barca teams, too. I don't think anyone can argue Mourinho ever went up against Barca with a superior squad of players.
