It would have had to have been a mega-slice to go in if he was trying to cross. Only he knows for sure, obviously, but it looked too clean a strike to have been a fluke to me. What I meant was that I simply don't believe he intended to hit it inside the goalkeeper and swerve it in at the far post. He just hammered it towards goal and it turned out well.
