I never said anyone should support England as such. Just respect the fact that Newcastle are an English team and most of us here are proud England supporters. There's been a few on here saying they'll support whoever England are playing.

Keegan reckons Ghana are going to win - that's it for me, USA will walk it.

Has Keegan picked the USA once?

Nah, he read you saying something about him on here once and since then he's hated the whole of the USA.

Since I'm supporting an English team, I should probably support Man United as well then since they're also an English team.

How has Donovan worked so hard to get here? Seems like he just swanned around the MLS for four years...

He's gotten a lot better in recent years.

Right. But he said I've worked hard. Yet you watch the documentary on the 2006 WC when he's interviewed, and he pretty much says (I don't have the quote to hand but) "I could have spent 4 years in Germany just to fit a system...I'd have made it, but I didn't want to wait." That to me sounds lazy and arrogant. How does he know he would have made it? He was piss poor at Bayern by all accounts.

This what I don't get about Donovan. He critiques Beckham over Milan and wanting to extend his loan, but then all of a sudden changes tact when Everton consider doing the same. To me he's a hypocrite, and an arrogant one at that. When he knew he was assured a spot in the NT he moved to MLS and just sat waiting.
