They are no different from last season, lots of possession but nothing football and little threat up front. Man Utd were as bad as I've seen them in many a year in the first half but at times they still looked comfortable. The sending off obviously changed things though. Still, they are an extremely average side. I wouldn't have any of their players in my Toon XI.

their main issue for Man Utd their midfield is pretty terrible for a team of their stature, no one there to win the ball and generally drag his side kicking and screaming into the game like Keane did for them for years.

They seem fairly divided on Rodgers. Like the fact he plays youth and says the right things - needs time and so on...The other school think he hasn't achieved anything to deserve the Liv job and he needs to start winning games.

The only numbers that matter are:-

Liverpool 1 - Man Utd 2

Which added together make no points for Liverpool

The numbers for the RVP goal and the Gerrard goal certainly wasn't. Probably not.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/liverpool/9561203/Liverpool-advert-reveals-Anfields-delusions-of-grandeur.html

First paragraph from a review of the Liverpool documentary.

Liverpool advert reveals Anfield's delusions of grandeur

There are two annoying things about Liverpool Football Club. The first is the insistence of their fans and disciples on referring to them at all times as ‘Liverpool Football Club’.

Why do they do this? Perhaps it has something to do with the second, which is the belief of all Liverpool fans that they constitute some sort of chosen people; more special, more noble, more decorated, more triumphant and more tragic, more blessed and more cursed, than any other club. Quite a bold claim for a club who derive their moral credo from a Gerry and the Pacemakers song.
